Belfry is breaking runs untouched at will. I really don't understand how they do it.

Just got a chance to check on the update thread that EKU so wonderfully made. Thanks man. Anyway, as I was reading it, I just got so depressed about the pitiful schedule Belfry has played and jealous of teams like Breathitt Co., who are at least A LITTLE more geographically feasible. They got to play a nice tough game against LCA tonight! Oh well... good job boys. Sounds like we played well. Offense seems to be clicking on all cylinders. I just wonder if we are looking dominant against kids who would play backup or 3rd string come the Regional on.

Seems like Central maybe plays to its competition level to some extent?

I know you can't avoid your district games, but these matchups are worthless in preparing Belfry for the playoffs.

Thanks Westsider. I completely agree they are an excellent football team. But this score gave me (a Belfry fan) a little to ponder.

Thanks thsrocks. I guess I am looking for more insight. Does this game indicate that Central may not be as strong as many had thought? Do they struggle moving the football? Or should we take from this game that Western has a very good football team?

How good is Western? I haven't heard much about them?

It was an idea folks. Not sure what else would even make THAT much sense. Papa Johns really is the best bet

How bout Rawlings Stadium in Georgetown? Not sure if they are interested but that Stadium is nice, centrally located, and holds a decent amount of people. Would be standing room only and a great atmosphere IMO.

Given what Belfry and Cental lost to graduation, I would have said -- Centra 1, Belfry 2 preseason. At this point though, it looks like -- Central 1, Belfry (way off 2nd) and then who knows.

I sorta hate to pop this one up late on a Saturday night, but given there isn't a UK game, I am just thinking about it. IMO, Belfry has a NICE team, but they aren't particularly big and IMO maybe not as strong as last season. Breathitt Co. just BARELY beat Estill Co. Harlan Co. appears to be a good team, but not a champion. Sheldon Clark is good but not exceptional. Russell just go throttled by Asland. AND, Paducah Tilghman just got WHACKED by Fort Campbell. Not to mention Elizabethtown et al, just don't seem to be enough. Given Central's impressive win over Male, can ANYONE challenge them come December? I know its early to have this discussion, but IMO (and I like to think I know a LITTLE bit about 3A ball) it looks like a repeat. Comments.
