Mayfield should finally put together several solid quarters and win easily

 

I think Mayfield handles Critt easily, also. Critt.Co. has played Mayfield close one time. Mayfield is not that bad, they are just not what we expect. If Mayfield can finally put together 4 solid quarters I look for around a three TD victory.

 

Mayfield wins by two TDs

 

Name any other time. My opinion is that IF Mayfield plays 4 good quarters they handle Critt easily. Critt may have a team that can beat them and if they do I say congrats.

 

35-28 was the score and Critt people were clamering for the next year because just like in 07 you played us close but what happened in 05? Critt came to town with confidence from 04 and as I recall the score was 34-6. Not saying that history will repeat itself but that just because it was a close game last year it will probably not have any bearing on the outcome of this game. Critt may play them close or even beat them but in my opinion if Mayfield plays this game ready and takes care of business I look for at least a 3 TD victory.

Crittenden played a good game and JD Gray was a force to be reckoned with all night. I only expect Crittenden to get better as Rodney Robertson came back tonight with a heavy cast on. When that comes off late in the season I expect the ground game to really take off! I'm proud we finally beat Mayfield for the first time in this rather young rivalry. Good luck the rest of the way Cards, hopefully we can have another great game in the playoffs!:thumb:

No we've never beaten Mayfield and Crittenden has been playing football since the 50's so you must be like, really old...

 

 

Apparently the game wasn't as close as the score indicates. A fumble by Mayfield at the Crittenden 2, Crittenden recovers, bean bag on the field,Mayfield announcers say Crittenden ball, yet the officials give it back to Mayfield, on the next play they score. Another time on a 4th down, Crittenden gets the first by a yard, but a TERRIBLE spot gives Mayfield the ball.

 

And what's up with the Mayfield announcer calling Crittenden fans idiots because some kids had there shirts off painted blue. Sour grapes...

Enjoy OORoc CC physically whipped Mayfield all night long, no question or doubt in my mind that the better team won. Sad and strange thing about this loss and this season is that I have waited for a couple years for this group to get to the varsity level. Their talent level had me having visions of state title tropheys yet it is here and all the talent has got me nothing but nightmares. Anyway I tip my hat to the Bottle Rockets who wanted it more, had a better game plan and took it to us.

Not fun seeing how the other half lives is it? I know my Sr year I left war memorial with tears in my eyes, so this win has some meaning to me and a lot of former Rockets. I knew eventually we'd get it done. Looks like in 2 weeks if we beat Ballard we wrap up the District. I for one thought we'd probably struggle to ever win another District title as long as Mayfield was in our district. Hopefully we are going to see a competitive series for years to come:thumb:

Congrats to the Rockets..My hats off to them..I expect another exciting game between these 2 come playoff time..As for Mayfield, keep your heads up..I'm sure you'll come around and get better as the season progresses..
