Really Westsider? I am not saying your wrong, but I don't recall anyone getting any snaps in the championship game other than #6 at RB and #24 at fullback.

For the record. I expect Belfry to return to the finals and face either Central again or Paducah Tilghman. PT gave them all they wanted last year, but I do not know what they return either.

To echo others, Central has to be the favorite. That said, I looked it up after the championship game last season and Central graduates the QB, RB, FB, WR, TE, and 2 OL. Most of those players were two way impact type guys. I'm sure there is plenty of talented kids who can step in, but I don't think it would be unusual to expect a little drop off. For anyone close to the program, who will be filling these key positions?

Anyone have an idea of how strong Louisville Holy Cross will be this upcoming season? As far as the other Pike teams. Well, if they don't like it how it is now, I would tell them "tuff"

I would speculate (if that is okay Watusi) that most of his salary comes from his teaching duties. I think the question (for those witchhunting here) is whether his compensation in those areas is comparable to others with the same duties.

Does the KHSAA mirror the NCAA? What I mean by that is, does the KHSAA punish the team (and thus players) for the sins of the staff/administration?

If that is true for Pike County, I have even more respect for the gentlemen who coach these kids.. True love of football

Anyway to get a list of the top 10 highest paid coaches? That would be interesting IMO.

Heck, I bet me, EKU, and 3 or four other guys could handle the tab.

Is it REALLY that much of a difference between traveling to Parkersburg WV or Lexington KY? What does the extra hour of travel amount to, $200? Money well spend IMO.

Yeah.. I mean it really is hard to say. I have never personally seen Trinity play, but there credentials speak loudly. In "up" years Belfry might be able to hang in there for a while. Who knows. Its a shame that the matchup isn't on for next season. Should be a very solid Belfry team. I guess they will just have to flex their muscle against Shelby Valley and East Carter again.

Trinity has athletes galore and 90% of the time would be WAY too much for Belfry. 1 of 10 years Belfry would give them a good game. I was thinking more along the lines of teams like Lafeyette, Dunbar, Clark Co., Madison Central, Woodford Co. Some of the bigger schools. Lexington is a 3 hour bus ride. Not great, but not horrible. Some more local teams worth a look are Letcher County Central, Hazard, Raceland? It is unfortunate that Prestonsburg and Ashland seem unworkable. Bottom line, Belfry would need to head toward Lexington. IMO, if we can get a reciprocal agreement, we should take it.

Schedule needs upgraded IMO.

Essentially all of Central's skill guiys were Seniors this past season. I get the feeling they will be able to fill those positions with talented/athletic players, but experience may come into play during their title defense run.

Fort Campbell has an impressive looking young Sophmore tailback.

Monday morning Qb's might be a dime a dozen. I guess I should just cheer. GO BELFRY It was a good season.
