  1. There are not many secret weapons in the playoffs, seeing most teams try everything during the season. If it took this long for a coaching staff to find something that could work for them then that is saying absolutely nothing for the coaching staff. I'm sure Dayton will be ready for it though, and if not they can adjust to it after the first time they see it.
  2. It is given, their running back ran the ball very hard (#33?). Record did not show the talent of team.
  3. Also a fence that cuts off a corner of the endzone, but it just adds to the magic of Davis field
  4. Dayton will have a young but very talented team this year. It will be interesting to see what they can do in the region this year.
  5. Exactly. The only history that counts in this game is the fact that Dayton won the first game 35 to 8 and the JV players were in the game in the fourth quarter.:fire:
  6. They sat 4 two way starters, and Carroll played a very good game and deserved the win.
  7. No excuses were said that it caused the lost. It was, without question, a huge factor sitting 4 two way starters, two of them being out of the top 4 players on the team IMO, but Carroll played a very good game and deserved the win.
  8. At the time it was, but noone knew how good of a year Dayton would have. Does not seem like an upset to me, more like a quality win for Dayton.
  9. Hopefully we meet up some time.
  10. This has to do what with the game Friday?
  11. Very true and I know for a fact the team isn't looking no further than this Friday.:thumb:
  12. To be honest I hope Bellevue comes out trying to throw the ball. Not trying to hit on Babb or anything but he is just not a thrower. Bellevue's strength is the running game and pounding it up the middle, if they get away from that it will be a similar score to what it was the first time. I went to the Lloyd/Bellevue game also and Bellevue can just not throw the ball well.
  13. A good point, all of these games should turn out to be very exciting games.
  14. Is he back to full speed?
  15. Beechwood should win. It's Beechwood's game to lose and everyone knows that. The thread topic.........................upsets!
  16. I was impressed with Carroll last week. Their record does not represent their team at all IMO. I will take Carroll in this one. Thanks for doing the Devils a favor Carroll and waking them up, good luck to both.:thumb: Carroll: 21 CAL:14
  17. If Dayton plays to their potential it could happen.
  18. How?? So beating Newport, Holmes, Scott, and Lloyd are all upsets??????????????? Not really:irked:
  19. It was a factor in the game without questions, but I don't remember anyone blamming the entire game on injuries. So where are these excuses?:fight:
  20. Thats a good one . Last game at Davis neither band was allowed to play during game play so that wont help much, unless they unleash both bands then it will be twice as loud as it is going to be lol. I think both schools crowds will be louder than both bands so the weapon isn't much help.
  21. I'm sure many people think that the lose to Carroll is a terrible thing to the Dayton squad, but it can also be turned around into a positive. I'm sure coach Deaton will talk to the team telling them that last week was a wake up call and your not going to walk over people until they meet Beechwood. Before last week I'm sure many of Dayton's players would have looked past Bellevue for the game that is looming next, but last week was a wake up call. So they will come out focused and ready for the game like they were last time. The team will be healthy and focused and Dayton will take the game again. Might be a little closer this time because both teams have seen each other, but still a W for the Dayton squad. Dayton: 39 (PAT's for both) Bellevue: 19 Go Devils :dancingpa
  22. True, just making a statement Dayton over Holmes was not an upset.
  23. I'm hoping they take it as a wake up call and get them refocused on their goal. Next week will be interesting.
