  1. Harlan County and Bell will without a doubt play in the grid next summer.
  2. So combines are pretty much useless unless you can rep 185-225 ten times and run a 4.4. in your 40. People with have both sides of the story...for Winston Guy it worked out, but for others it does nothing. Not every college player will have those great athletic abilities...sometimes your great players make up for athletic abilities and the lack of talent with pure hustle and heart.
  3. Yeah, i forgot about those two. Have you heard anything about the Head Coaching job yet? I haven't heard anything else new about it.
  4. Down in the small town of Evarts there is a kid named Glenn Roberts who is a beast. Deadlift-600 Bench-285 Squat-? We never really maxed on squats Clean-280 He should be a starter next year for the black bears at the new consolidated high school. But he is pretty strong, he only weighs 205.
  5. The new school will be in the same district as Cawood was in last year. I forgot to post that in there also.
  6. For the first year or two they will be in Class 3-A. Then i do believe that they will then jump to 5-A or 6-A depending on the success of the program over the first two years. They should be great, they will have, my personal favorite Glenn Roberts from Evarts, T.J. Green from Cawood, and Nathaniel Gilliam and Lance Simmons from Cumberland all in the backfield. Not counting all of the other kids who will compete for starting or playing time back there. I have no clue who the quarter back will be unless it is green and they run some kind of spread stuff and let him run it a bit. The O-Line should be good and the defense should be fierce. They should compete quite well in 3-A next year. Harlan Independent won't play them next year which i can't blame them. Also to note that the hear say here in Harlan County is that the Black Bears will open the season up with Johnson Central. So, we will all have to see what the Black Bears can do against a top quality opponent in 5-A. But, thats just a little about them from my stand point others may think that they won't be that good. Every one is titled to there own opinion though. I just wish the best of luck to my Evarts boy next year.
  7. Watch out for Michael Campbell next year. That kid is a player...If any one in the mountains seen the catch he had against LCA in the playoffs you will know what i mean. But Hazard should be good next year, i look for them in Louisville or where ever they will be playing STATE next year.
  8. Was this just a blow out or did the steelers play with them some?
  9. First i heard about him being a wolverine. Might be good for Michigan, might be bad.
  10. Ouch! I hated to see them beat us just as bad.
  11. What all football players play b-ball for the dawgs?
  12. If any one has any stats on Burgin please post. Anything, starting five, averages for players. Just anything helpful, i don't know anything about them and we play them, just trying to figure out some info about them.
  13. You don't hear Bell Co. crying because there with out football players on there basketball team. I'm sure Shawnta Zachery would help them a lot with there whole starting line up gone almost.
  14. Why is it that Lynn Camp played bad. Ever think that Evarts just gave them all they wanted. Were still 0-4 but at least were competing this year.
  15. Is LCA firing on all cylinders tonight? Or is Hazard just playing bad? Not to take anything away from LCA though.
  16. Any more updates on the current score or is it still 31-21?
  17. Whenever some one gets and update please post. Especially about this game. Thank you.
  18. I will take Bell Co. in this one. A slow paced game, advantage to Bell though. I agree that Lex. Cath has alot of speed. But if Dudley and his boys can manage the clock i think that they will win in a rowdy Log Mountain stadium.
