Wasn't at least one (if not a couple) of the Longs (Geoff, Jon, etc.) from Lloyd in the 60's outstanding 3-sporters??

He was not a very good hitter. He had power, but average hitter. Incredible at the other 2.

I played against Jacobs in high school. He was a freak to do the things he could size wise. His throwing motion was a little funky, but he could rake. He once hit the Newport Gymnasium with a home run to right field.

 

Some of the old timers may remember Mike Moore from Holmes in the mid 70's.

Two from my era would be Jelani Brandon (Lloyd) and Brandon Beger (Beechwood). Both were studs on the diamond and gridiron while also playing hoops.

Jim Pitzer, Conner. Went on to have a really nice career at UD in football.
