February 6, 201214 yr Disagree. I am not a fan of either team and I enjoyed it immensely. Noted. Too many missed opportunities for me. 4 TDs total for a game with 2 stud QBs. That doesn't do it for me.
February 6, 201214 yr It wasn't an exciting game for someone who is not a fan of either team. Close, yes. Two exciting drives in the game. Didn't get me very wound up. I thoroughly enjoyed the game & don't care for either team. There were some missed opportunities, but I thought it was a good, entertaining game.
February 6, 201214 yr Belichek & Brady get tons of hype for being one of the best combos ever, but, as far as I'm concerned, they still have not won a Super Bowl legitimately.
February 6, 201214 yr Noted. Too many missed opportunities for me. 4 TDs total for a game with 2 stud QBs. That doesn't do it for me. So you're not a fan of good defense? I assume that makes you a huge UK football fan.
February 6, 201214 yr Not a fan of either team but I enjoyed the game. I enjoyed last year's game much more but I was highly entertained this year considering the teams and my feelings of both teams.
February 6, 201214 yr The Giants outplayed them. That is all you can say about that. And Manning outplayed Brady. I'm not sure that Manning outplayed Brady, both played equally well. Manning's protection was better and his receivers made plays. The drops by Branch, Fernandez and Welker, along with the fumbles bouncing the Giants way was the difference in the game.
February 6, 201214 yr It wasn't an exciting game for someone who is not a fan of either team. Close, yes. Two exciting drives in the game. Didn't get me very wound up. The last few years we have seen pretty competitive games. There was a ten year stretch where most of the games weren't that close. Are we getting spoiled?
February 6, 201214 yr Belichek & Brady get tons of hype for being one of the best combos ever, but, as far as I'm concerned, they still have not won a Super Bowl legitimately. Disagree. Making it to 5 Super Bowls as a combo is very impressive regardless of the circumstances surrounding their victories. No less respect from me.
February 6, 201214 yr So you're not a fan of good defense? I assume that makes you a huge UK football fan. Two HOF QBs playing against two defenses that have not dominated this year yet we end up with 4 total TDs. Doesn't do it for me.
February 6, 201214 yr Disagree. I am not a fan of either team and I enjoyed it immensely. Same here, although hitting my biggest score ever helped tremendously. With his second super bowl win I am now in the Eli is elite camp.
February 6, 201214 yr I'm not sure that Manning outplayed Brady, both played equally well. Manning's protection was better and his receivers made plays. The drops by Branch, Fernandez and Welker, along with the fumbles bouncing the Giants way was the difference in the game. Giants receivers made huge plays. The one Nicks snatched out of the air and Manningham's grab were just crazy good.
February 6, 201214 yr Not a bad game to close out the season really. I figured NY would win it but knew it would be close. Seemed like all of the experts were picking NE simply because of their experience and how many times they've been there before which is understandable but the Giants just refused to lose this season.I did not hear many picking the Pats. How they were the betting favorites is beyond me. Especially when you consider they already bet the Pats earlier in the year @ Foxboro when healthy. The door was left open with the Welker drop. Eli made the plays and that catch down the sidelines was amazing. Can't spell elite without Eli.
February 6, 201214 yr I'm not sure that Manning outplayed Brady, both played equally well. Manning's protection was better and his receivers made plays. The drops by Branch, Fernandez and Welker, along with the fumbles bouncing the Giants way was the difference in the game. Branch drop was a deflected pass that was behind him. Welker "drop" was a bad pass that would have gone down as one of the great catches in Super Bowl history if he makes it. The one by Fernandez was a perfect pass that was dropped. The safety in the end zone was a terrible play by Brady. The long INT intended for Gronkowski should have been a TD but Brady underthrew it (I'll cut him some slack on that one because of the pressure). I just thought Manning made zero mistakes and made the big plays and Brady made mistakes and failed to make the big plays.
