January 27, 201214 yr Had their best seasons with Ray Rice, but wasn't he the man who brought Rice to Rutgers? So no reason to act like it was all Rice, when it took him to get Rice there for Rice to help out. Not to mention the ability to find Rice shows something too, since I assume Rice was not that high of a recruit since he ended up there and not at a big school. I don't agree with the hire, however he did a very good job at Rutgers. I think I seen a stat where he was 20 or so games above .500 after 2006. So since he got the program really going, he has done well. That is the win-loss record that needs to be looked at, not his overall. Since Rutgers was so bad when he took over. I never said it was all Rice. I just want to know how many of his 68 wins did Ray Rie contribute to.

January 27, 201214 yr Good question. I'm just saying before Schiano, Rutgers was garbage. They went like 30 plus games w/out a win. You can't judge him by his overall record alone. I was gonna say the same thing, Rutgers was nothing in football and have won 5 bowl games. Under Greg. The guy can coach. Now he might be like Darth Visor or Coach Saban and be a bad fit, but at least try him.

Yet he still had it much better most of the time than where he found it. I am not saying he is a great coach, and I think Tampa has made a mistake in hiring him. However he did a pretty good job while at Rutgers, and who knows if anyone else could have done any better during that time. So he does deserve credit for that. Does not mean I think he is a good or great coach. However he did a pretty good job at Rutgers from where it was before him.

He was supposed to be at Don Bosco for a showcase at 8am with some assistant coaches but didn't show up nor tell Don Bosco's coach or any of his assistants.
