January 23, 201214 yr The last thing that was shown had "Dr. Sam Beckett never returned home." That's all I remember of it too. I do remember one episode when he "leaped" home, though, right? Maybe when he was a youngster? I'm pretty sure that's right. But as far as him ultimately returning to himself as an adult & leading a normal life, that never happened.

He leaped into himself as I believe a 7 year old. He spent most of the time trying to warn his brother that he would die in Vietnam. The next episode he was part of his brother's unit and accomplished his goal of saving him.

January 23, 201214 yr Smallville was anti-climactic. The years of buildup to Clark finally realizing his potential and the fight with the ultimate villain takes all of 2 minutes and we never see Superman, just a head shot with a little blue and red fluttering about. ER just left me wanting more, same with Friends. Big Love was very surreal and again somewhat disappointing. Loved the MASH finale. Really wish we would have gotten a finale of Jericho, Heroes and The Event.

January 23, 201214 yr For me the ending of Lost was GREAT. The opening scene of the show started with Jack's eye opening, while the ending had is closing. I hated that this show ended. Without a doubt my all-time favorite.

January 24, 201214 yr Me either. I need closure. I felt the same way; was very disappointed with how the Soprano's ended.
January 24, 201214 yr MASH was incredible! I think it set the record for viewership for a while? For television show endings, I believe it still has the record. I believe the only thing viewed by more than the MASH finale was the Super Bowl between New Orleans and Indianapolis.
