That is why I do not invest a lot in to their margin of victory or team cohesion. That was a three week long exhibition similar to what the NBA guys did this summer. Other teams were posing with players and getting autographs before games.A good US college team could have won gold.
January 16, 201214 yr OK we are talking about the year 92 and those games. Not every player in their prime. Kobe is right behind MJ so saying he is the best ever means nothing really when comparing these two teams. Yeah, I can go with that point of view. I still think the 92 team would win, though.

Dwayne Wade and LeBron James are of comparison. The old guys were Bird and Magic and of around the same experience as Kobe, but with less mileage. Not spring chickens, but most were around late 20s to 31.

Everyone on the 2012 is pretty much in their prime. Kobe a little on the outside but his play of late doesn't seem like it. Did the chemistry of the 92 team seem so great just because they were blowing out a bunch of scrubs every game? It's easy to play nice when you are winning by 40 every game. I was to young to remember the 92 team run which likely has a big impact on my pick of the 2012 team.

The stats from the olypics in 92 are so skewed because of the large margin of victory. From about 1988 until he suited up for the Wizards MJ was the best player on any court he played on.
January 16, 201214 yr 2012 team would beat the Dream Team by 10 or so points IMO. It will be interesting to see where the careers of the 2012 guys stand compared to the 92 guys when they are all finished. Maybe no one tops MJ or Magic, but legitimately everyone else on the 92 team could be past by a handful of guys.

He shot 30 more shots than Barkley and Barkley averaged 18 a game. MJ averaged 15. I am speaking strictly Olympics. Barkley outperformed MJ in the Olympics.
