Tonight's the night...

I am going to hate my life at work and driving 2 hours after it tomorrow.

Made a friendly wager with my boss the other day. I claimed that The Dark Knight Rises would top The Avengers record for opening weekend at the box office. Smart bet?

Tickets bought. Tonights game time. Gonna hate my 8am work tomorrow but it shall be worth it.

Tough call. Gun to my head, I say The Avengers comes out on top.

I will say you win.

I just read an article about this. Very unlikely due to The Avengers being shown in 3D which means more money per ticket sold. Over 50% of tickets sold for The Avengers on opening weekend were for 3D. Dark Knight Rises will probably sell more tickets, but make less money. It's still possible for it to take the top spot though.

Pretty sure the theatre that I watched it at there was no price difference between 3D and DLP ticket prices.

I don't think our theatre charges more either.
Anybody taking in the Midnight showing at Rave in Florence?

I will be at the 12:05 showing sitting up top.

My roommate will be there, and I'm assuming this means you'll be with him. I dont' think I'm going until Sunday. If he tells me something I will kill him.

This is a very good point and something I didn't consider. Maybe more will go to IMAX than did the Avengers since there isn't the 3-D option...Not likely but I'm hopeful.
