So your saying that Trinity has almost 22 divison I players?

not trying to be a smart donkey but see post #12 that's your answer. and between the 3 classes that played, Trinity has about 14 D1 players and it's about 7 on O and 7 on D.

Who's coaching the all state team? If they run a "smashmouth" offense, I'll go with the Rocks. If the offense is more wide open, I'll take the state.

If Dale Mueller coaches the all state team for 30 days the all state team wins handily. It would be stupid to even think otherwise..

IMO , your not a D1 player unless a D1 college offers a scolly. Being a D1 player just means you have the physical traits ( size and speed ) and potential to play at the highest level of college football. They don't worry about talent because they figure they can develope that down the road .So , I'm thinking 2 or 3 at the most , and definitely no where near 14 . I'm not trying to be a smart donkey either , just giving you my opinion .

With all due respect I played D1 ball and I say this to state that Trinity has D1 players at just about every position and the ones who are not are pretty close. as far as an allstar team based off the AP most of those guys are not D1. I say this not to disrespect those kids only to show, you under estimate just how good this Trinity Squad is. See is believing!

 

You tell us that you played D-1 ball, (I assume you mean football) presumably to establish credibility for your position, and then you follow it with a mouthfull of the most incredible, outlandish, and baseless rubbish that I have seen on here in years. A whole team of D-1 talent! Never happened in my lifetime. Yes there are teams with a lot of D-1 talent, but a typical national champion may have 5 to 7 legit D-1 players.

 

While on that topic, D-1 scollys is no measure of a high school team. Glenville in Ohio has as much or more D-1 talent on an anual basis as anyone in the country, sometimes having 12 in a senior class, yet have little success at the championship level.

If someone has the time and knows where to look, I would be interested in seeing how many players in Kentucky received D1 scholarships over the past 2 or 3 years. That will perhaps shed some light on the talent side of this discussion.

Would be something to track, wouldn't it? We'd have to do it over 2 years, though, this and next.

Tyler Sweeden accepted a scholarship to a program in TN. Don't recall the name, think it is low level D1. He wasn't even a starter on the team for most of the year.

1 - they absolutely care about talent. They don't care about technique, etc.....that can be coached. 2 - if you think we only have 2-3 D1 players, you are so far off, that I could no longer read your posts. I can count 12 kids off the top of my head that will play D1 ball, on this year's team.

I'm not saying we'd win. I do know we have at least 10 young men on this team, that will play Div 1 ball, for free. We also have some of the best coaches in the nation.

I think that if you knew who I really am you would respect my football knowledge. That's cool this is fun to hear this way.
