Despite the fact that Quick is easily the front runner for Mr. Football in 2012 I think Travis Wright and Kyle Bolin are certainly capable of making Quick work to the title. Outside of those three who else deserves a mention? I know there is more than those 3.

IMO no

This thread got really whacky starting with post #7. Read the thread title and pay attention.

In Nky the only guy I think that has a small chance would be Blake Bir from (CovCath)..

I think Towles would still likely get it, but I do feel that Mr. Kentucky should be open to all classes. What's wrong with giving the state's MVP award to the best player, regardless of class?

Here are my predictions for the next couple years.

 

2012- Quick Trinity

2013- Jackson - Mayfield (He's a current soph correct?)

I think Towles would still likely get it, but I do feel that Mr. Kentucky should be open to all classes. What's wrong with giving the state's MVP award to the best player, regardless of class?

 

All that means is Towles would get two awards instead of one..

Ryan Timmons of Franklin County should, and will be considered a front runner too IMO.

Will be weird with Dawkins, Wright, and Quick all being seniors. Probably will hurt their chances.

I think it is Quick's to lose unless Bolin guides LexCath to the 4A title. Then things will get interesting, IMO.

I have wondered this as well. Given how great these players are, it would be hard to envision the winner NOT coming from Trinity's squad, but if multiple Trinity players have banner years next year (which is likely), it seems they may split the vote and give a non-Louisville area player a chance to win it as a dark horse candidate.

Favorite has to be Quick IMO.
