Ryan Timmons is the single most electrifying high school football player I have ever seen!!

 

He plays RB and WR.

 

I have seen Quick play and he is no where near as fast or quick on the field as Timmons.

 

 

Plus he has already committed to UK so he has that in his corner:)

 

I can only assume you mean that Quick is that much faster and quicker than Timmons, and thus the "nowhere near" gap?

Quick is the 2-time defending state champ in the 200 meters,so I would like to see the kid that is so much faster than him that he is "nowhere near":lol:

Having said all that, I think Dawkins might be the one to steal this thing away from his teammates. He finished the season with one phenomenal game after another. The only reason he did not have 2000+ yards this year is that he only had 2 carries against SK before being replaced (and the fact that he only played 9 regular season games). The question mark will be a revamped O-line, but I look to see Dawkins 20 lbs heavier (stronger) and every bit as quick and fast as this year (though "nowhere near" as fast or quick as Timmons). :lol:

I agree with just about all you stated but I think you under estimate just how quick Dawkins really is. As I've stated before Dawkins is the only player the I've seen in person that's a little quicker than J Quick. Quick has more long speed than Dawkins. He will out run Dawkins in 100ms. But Dawkins will win in 40 yards or less and is more shifty. I think it's fair to say non of the three are much faster or quicker than each other.

Now I'm not the smartest so if you are being sarcastic then I appologize. But in the 100 meters as stated before Timmons won the 2A state championship and tied for 2nd in all of the classes only behind a kid from Ballard.

 

I'm not putting down anyone from Trinity so if one of them wins Mr. Football I won't have a problem. But on the flip side I hope some people from around the state can see Timmons play and at least be open minded enough about him to watch his skills instead of where he or who he plays against. Trinity also has a lot better players all around him, maybe the best offensive system in the country. Ryan is playing for a team who has never won anything big in Franklin County and I don't want to say a one man show but if you took him away from Franklin County, it would crush them.

 

Just hope people can keep an open mind about him and don't just look at the jersey's and look who is in them as well.

I know Quick is very very talented and special.

 

I think Timmons on a football field making cuts and re- accelerating is incredible.

 

 

The UK comment was not to say that Quick is not big time but rather voters seem to like UK commits.

 

 

Look it may come off that I am putting some one down but I am not, they both are extremely talented. I just feel that Timmons is faster on the football field, nothing more. Also, at the very least I feel he deserves to be in the conversation for 2012.

I've seen Quick in person as well and he is a monster. If I was comparing the two Quick is bigger and more physical. I know some people on here may not believe this but Timmons is a little bit faster. He is a kid who catches a 5 yard slant and no one lays a hand on him. Makes crazy looking one handed catches from fades down the sideline. He's a show. I'm biased for UK but if UK could land this kid and players from Trinity with the quarterback from Highlands coming in, this state will put a good college football team together down the road.

I would agree that Jackson should be a candidate. He is a dominating player on both sides of the ball.

 

I am going to throw Max Nussbaum of Beechwood into the discussion as well. Not that I expect him to win it but he will be a dominating player next year and will most likely have the D1 scholarship offers that voters seem to use as a guide in deciding who to vote for.

Dalyn Dawkins impresses me more than Quick. One hell of a RB.

Jackson is Beast and you are right he should get more justice in this thread. But don't worry I think by this time next year he will right in the mix when it counts. BTW I think he's better suited to play Safety.
