December 9, 201114 yr If he stayed ten years I would be more than thrilled. A whole decade under Calipari? Wow, bring it on. I heard some of the interview Cal gave on this and he was basically saying Kentucky is a 10 year job, its a place you can stay ten years but it will take almost everything out of you by the end of that ten years. If Kentucky can keep him around for 7+ years I'll be more than happy, anything after seven is a bonus to me. Kentucky job is demanding, especially for a coach that goes as hard as Cal.
December 9, 201114 yr Hasn't he been saying that all along? That it's the type of job you can't hold onto forever because of the pressures?
December 10, 201114 yr He also said that as long as he was having fun he wasnt going anywhere and he said he was having a Blast.
December 10, 201114 yr Author Jim=spoon Not exactly the reaction Jim was looking for. I wasn't looking for any particular reaction. I saw it on ESPN; I posted it here. Simple as that.
December 10, 201114 yr According to this AP story. He said this 2 years ago when he came. He said it was such a taxxing job that required so much commitment and effort that if he was to give it 100% that he couldn't see himself or any one for that matter doing it for more than 10 years, said a job of that magnitude drains you. No news here.
December 10, 201114 yr I have no doubt that he is like a lot of other coaches in college. He will not leave until "his work is done." No question.
December 10, 201114 yr I saw this earloierb today and Cal's explanation of the constant scrutiny/U.K. being a 24-7-365 job/ Extremely high stress.etc.. I can u8nderstand what and why. Cal said "I want to be able to do good for my players, asst. coaches, see that they can move on sucsessfully". Cal also said that he wanted to be able to still have his health and sanity whenever he called it quits and went home to his wife. That may not be the exact wording but it is very close. I believe the man was just being truthful. Hopefully there will not be more made out of it than what it is. Then again, fat chance of that happening.

Being that you tend to not generate your own agenda, other than stirring the pot... I can't wait for you to eat crow on the above. Can you give it a rest, at least for a minute? What joy do you get, from being an agitator 100% of the time? Is this what your life is relegated to do?
