This isn't a question of who you think should play, but who do you think will play? ESPN showed a stat that Oklahoma State has won 2 games vs. Top 10 teams this year, while Alabama is winless. Granted Alabama only played 1 top 10, but is that stat, and tonight's win going to sway enough voters to vote the Cowboys # 2 over the Tide?

Its hard to tell. I will say that 2 weeks ago I thought it should be Alabama or it wasn't legitimate. After Oklahoma St. performances tonight I wouldn't mind as much if it were Oklhoma St but still don't really think it should be.

Probably Bama. It seems like the voters want Alabama. OSU certainly helped their case though.

I believe it will remain Alabama, though it will be much closer as a result of tonight's performance. I believe OSU will probably be equal or slightly ahead in the computers, but that they will not move higher than #3 in the human polls. That will allow Alabama to remain ahead.

I didn't think BCS rules allowed for two teams in the same conference to play for the title.

I say LSU plays OK State

No, the only reference to that is the following...

No more than two teams from a conference may be selected, regardless of whether they are automatic qualifiers or at-large selections, unless two non-champions from the same conference are ranked No. 1 and No. 2 in the final BCS Standings.

That pretty much says that if Alabama and LSU are ranked 1 and 2, thereby playing in the National Championship game, Georgia is not eligible for an at-large bid to a BCS bowl. However, it also implies that 2 teams from the same conference can meet in the National Championship game.

My vote is for Alabama, but who knows what will happen.

#1 and #2 play for the title no matter what.

Conferences are limited to two teams in BCS bowls UNLESS the #1 and #2 team are from the same conference AND NEITHER is the champion.

So if UGA had won they would get the automatic BCS bid as the conference champ champ, and if LSU/Bama were still 1 and 2, they would still play in the title game.

Holding my breath... :idunno: :jump:

we know what you WANT...but what do you THINK?

The current computer projections have OK State ahead in 4 of the 6 computers. According to BCS expert Jerry Palm, that means OK State would need to be no more than the mathematical equivalent of 28 points back in the Harris and 15 in the Coaches poll. They entered the week 342 points and 166 points behind in those two respectively.

I can not see the human polls changing enough for Oklahoma State to get a shot.

Palm tweeted that OKST must lead Bama by 5 points in the Harris to get to the big game.

The Sugar Bowl is rooting for OKST. They would likely then get Bama v Michigan.

Bama is #2 in the Coaches poll...32 points ahead of OK State.
