I didn't say it wasn't a big game. What I meant was if they lost to X their season wasn't over but if they lose tonight it is. I agree that X was the best game I've ever seen.

Yes there are injures. I hope I don’t get into any HIPPA issues but this is what I know so far.

 

Leatherneck: Has a little hitch in his getty up, but should be ready to go Friday.

 

Sweeperboy: He’s day to day still nursing the shoulder, but Tracy should have him ready for Friday.

 

Jbwill2: If he can get a ride to Ft. Thomas he should be good to go.

 

Qryche11: Has refused to play. He says it’s basketball season.

KYHoss: A game time decision. Apparently after the game last Friday evening he was complaining his legs felt like jello.

 

ABC2: Is he still on the roster?

 

Mexitucky: Still working on some transfer issues from up on the hill. We’re not even going there.

Here is a prediction that I feel confident guaranteeing will happen tonight - Highlands fans will complain about tackling. Why? Because it happens at every game that a team plays against Gabe Gray. Tackles will be broken tonight by Gray so just expect that and try to make sure the next man is there to stop the big run. If Highlands can prevent Gray from the big play, they will win by a solid margin.

Highlands fans won't have to complain if they tackle like they did in the Elder and JC game. I don't recall JJ Jude breaking that many tackles . The big 230 lb RB from Elder didn't break that many tackles either. If the Birds play D like they did in those two games , it won't be close. Is Gabe Gray a better RB than the two previously mentioned ? We shall see. Last week Drake Bruns made a lot of tackles , so , IMO the safety making a lot of tackles is not a good sign. Highlands LB'ers will have to play well and make some tackles . I also know JC only threw the ball three times , so Drake Bruns was defending the run game of JC. Should be a great game with a great atmosphere at the fort !!! Go Birds !!!!!!

Has Cris Collinsworth been able to make all of the games this year? I read an article after one of the recent games where it talked about his desire to get PT to work on the intermediate routes even though the deep routes were there. I figured he would be traveling on Fridays.

Channel 9 just announced that Highlands is taking on Covington Latin tonight at David Cecil Memorial. Well, if that is the case, I'm going to go ahead and list the Birds as a prohibitive favorite!
