A Very Large THANK YOU to all our Servicemen and women Past and Present.

Never forget the sacrifices they make.

God Bless each and every one!!

Can we get a head count of those that have served from BGP??

AAATC - US Army - 1981 to 1989

I didn't serve but want to thank all that do/did.

My grandfather was a bomber pilot in WW2. He was shot down and served as a POW. He died a few years ago and really miss him. My dad, uncle, brother and cousin all served (my cousin still is).

I hope all of our vets have a wonderful day today. Thanks you for your service and sacrifice. Godspeed and God bless.

I dad served in Vietnam. He was in Air Force Intelligence. It is also his birthday today! :dancingpa

Thank you and happy Veteran’s Day to all my fellow Veterans.

U.S. Army 1988-2008, NSDQ!

So was my uncle, he was shot down too, but didn't make it. My dad was a pilot also, he flew a transporter.

God bless all thoese that have served and are serving today.

I feel as though there are few in my generations who truly appreciate our armed service men and women, as well as our veterns, but I certainly do. Freedom is not something I take for granted and it is because of these heroes that we have it.

I posted this in another thread, but wanted to here as well. It's a picture of men from Easy Company, many who were depicted in Band of Brothers, with the signatures of 44 veterns and the author Stephen Ambrose as well. It's only a print, but it hangs proudly in my apartment now:

Thank you!

Great thread.

Shout out to my dad, my brother, my father-in-law, and to local boys Sean and Matt Ryan who did tours in Afghanistan.

US military is the best ever! Thank you all for your service!

Thank you all for your service!

One of my best friends is in Afghanistan as well as my girlfriend's brother. Stay safe!

I have a real good friend in Afghanistan as well. He comes home for good in December after being there for a year. He did two tours in Iraq before that. I think this is set to be his last one.

Thanks to all veterans and those on active duty!!!

Thank you!

Great picture! Less we never forget the sacrifices of these men and all veterans of America’s wars past and present.

In the spirit of the 6 degrees theory, Easy Company 506th Infantry returned to Fort Campbell in 2005 after 23 years of being part of the 2nd Infantry Division in Korea. The new 506th is part of the 4th Brigade of the 101st Airborne and just last week celebrated their Currahee Week here on post with many veterans of the 506th from WWII and Vietnam attending the events.

Also related is that the Fort Campbell Falcons were named after the Fighting Falcon CG-4A Waco glider that General Don Pratt landed in during the D-day invasion. General Pratt was killed upon impact in France and was the highest ranking officer to die in the invasion. The Fighting Falcon was found and brought back to Fort Campbell, restored, and now sits in the Pratt Museum on post.

I will be proudly watching the Falcons tonight on 11/11/11. What better way to cap off Veterans Day then to watch young men compete on a Friday night with the Star Spangled Banner to begin the game. Freedom is truly not free and we should all be thankful for the freedoms we enjoy.

I was never in the military, but greatly appreciate everyone in military service. One of my grandfathers served in World War II and my brother-in-law and several other friends served in Afghanistan and Iraq. I honor them, as well as all other veterans alive and fallen.

My wife and I take care of my father (23 years US Army Cmd. Sgt. Major Ret. -- WWII, Korea, Vietnam) and I have the privilege of being associated with a great group of people through the Korean War Veterans Association. http://www.kwva175.com

Thank you to all vets for all you have done to protect my lifestyle, my family, and my country.

A big thank you to all BGP members who have served or are still serving as well as to all of our family, friends and everyone else that have served or are serving. You are appreciated.
