November 11, 201114 yr One day a year isn't enough. Thanks to all who serve and allow us to live the lives we lead! Well put.
November 11, 201114 yr Thank you to all who have served and who are in service today. Every one of us needs to take a look around us today and say a prayer of thanks to those who make our American Dreams possible.
November 11, 201114 yr A big thank you to all that have served, as many have already said it's because of all of you that we enjoy the true greatness of this wonderful country! Also, a big thank you to my dad who served in both the Navy and Marines. He's recently recovering from gall bladder surgery and has to go back in a few weeks for surgery on a rather large and dangerous aortic aneurysm. Any prayers wold be appreciated much.
November 11, 201114 yr A big thanks to all veterans and active duty soldiers. Without you, we would be a captive nation without the freedom to post our gratitudes. I have many friends that are currently in theatre with the 1204th ASB out of Independence, KY and would be with them had I not been medically discharged from the US Army. Thank you again!!
November 12, 201114 yr A very special thank you to all my brothers and sisters in the military and for making the same decision I made in 1981: to do my part to preserve our precious freedom and way of life, the best in the world! My service was shortened by disability in 1984 (I had signed up for six years and was planning on making it a career), and I have missing legs, a colostomy, and a catheter to show for it, but I still would not trade the experience or the pride for anything. At the BGHS/Greenwood game tonight, I got many well wishes and thank-yous from fans, coaches, and the very conscientious young men who wear the Purple and Gold of BGHS. However, if it weren't for the sacrifice and hard work of veterans and current soldiers, airmen, sailors, and Marines, none of us would be able to enjoy things like that. I'd do it all over again!:thumb:
