November 4, 201114 yr At this point and with all of the attention it may be best for the administration that the whole truth is never known publicly. It's obvious something happened that was bad enough to suspend 3 players for the playoff game tonight. The million dollar question is does the punishment fit the crime? And another interesting question is IF Dixie wins tonight, how will this situation be handled going forward?
November 4, 201114 yr And another interesting question is IF Dixie wins tonight, how will this situation be handled going forward? I've been told it is definitely a one-game suspension. Players will be eligible should Dixie win tonight.
November 4, 201114 yr I've been told it is definitely a one-game suspension. Players will be eligible should Dixie win tonight. If Dixie wins and it truly is a one game suspension it will still be interesting to see if the team welcomes Pike back or if Pike would even want to come back at this point. Since it seems that the team is pretty split on this, I just think him coming back would add more tension to a team that is falling apart as we speak.
November 4, 201114 yr There was a player vote that led to a division and fighting amongst the team. And there is much much more to how this went down, who was involved, and what has happened since. There's alot more that will surface soon I'm sure. Hopefully Dixie can get a W tonight. There's no doubt in my mind that he wants to play. If Dixie is suspending him based on hearsay, that's a slippery slope. If the players are dictating who plays and who doesn't, that's even more slippery. Regardless if they are right or wrong.
November 4, 201114 yr The big losers here are the other Dixie seniors who have lost something they'll never get back - a nice senior season to cap off their high school years. Unlike the kid in question, they'll never get to play this game again. Their last memories of football will be controversy, in-fighting, frustration, and whole lot of things out of their control. They're the ones I feel bad for.
November 4, 201114 yr What if your son says he did not do it? What if the school says we have no proof except a couple of kids saying he did it? What if your son says some of the players used this as a chance to get him? How would you handle that? Do you believe your son or kids on the team that you know do not like your son? There is a pattern, not a on-time incident. I will always believe my son until it is proven he was dishonest with me. If this was a one-time incident I would be more forgiving but people need to quit looking the other way for this young man as they become enablers. Just my opinion.
November 4, 201114 yr Who cares if he passed a drug test? Who gave it to him? Why would he even be asked to do such a thing? The whole point of that fake stuff is show it doesn't show up on a test.

I think it would be better to get it all out in the open and be done with it.

I think it would be better to get it all out in the open and be done with it. I agree, but think that most involved would rather keep quiet and move on. Right now all parties concerned are covered. Dixie can claim they punished those at fault (what for, we're still not sure) and Pike can claim innocence via floating the story of the polygraph and drug tests.
November 4, 201114 yr The Cannabis Information Network tweeted the story. Clyde, you are one connected dude...
November 4, 201114 yr The Cannabis Information Network tweeted the story. If The Cannabis Information Network tweeted it then The Fake Cannabis Information Network should be working on a full feature article.

Dixie can claim they punished those at fault (what for, we're still not sure) and Pike can claim innocence via floating the story of the polygraph and drug tests. What's troubling for me is that with the passing polygraph and passing drug test stories floating around to clear Pike then why isn't he playing and why aren't his supporters pushing harder for him to play? It's beyond obvious the rules were broken somehow. On the surface it appears like Pike is going to get away with minimal damage once again. I hope he learns his lesson before he finds his way into some trouble that ends up being more than a slap on the wrist.

Right now the status quo is best for everyone - except for those of us that believe in Truth, Justice and the American Way.
