Could of, would of should of........ if they were that close, then find a way to win.

You're absolutely right. that was earlier in the year though. What happen at Manual? was that not finding a way to win?

Thanks for all the doubts. I'll be sure to get back on immediately after the win and thank you guys again.

I make the bold prediction that St. X will win by 1...but which one?

Having played and graduated from X. All I will say is go BOMBERS.

Isn't Cincy St. X rated #1 in Ohio and #14 in the nation by MAX-PREPS? I thnk they are at 7-2 (with the 2 losses coming at the hands of the teams playing in St. Mathews Friday night.

You would certainly have every right to do so, just make sure you're just as quick on here congratulating Cinti X without excuses if things don't go so well.

Cincy St. X by 3tds....

This game may not be the blowout many of you are expecting.

Last weekend against St. Ignatius, St. Xavier rested both their starting QB and their starting RB. It is not out of the realm of possibility they do the same this week which will make them almost a completely one-dimensional team. If that's the case, they aren't going to put up more than 3 TD's TOTAL, let alone win by that many.

While I do expect a Bomber win, I don't think it will be by 3 or more TD's. Unless, of course, they completely shut St. Xavier out, which is also very possible.

Bombers - 17

Tigers - 3

24-7 is my prediction....and I hope I am totally off base.

The thread was comparing Louisville X to Cincy X, Trinity and Moeller. Finding a way to beat Manual is a little different than finding a way to beat the other three schools listed here.

I feel that Louisville X is 4th in the state this year behind Trinity, Highlands and Bowling Green. Not bad... but not where Louisville X needs to be.

Lou. X by 14

If they haven't found an offensive producer other than Mattingly the Tigers will struggle.

I believe Lou X was in the game with Moeller. I also believe they were in Moeller's redzone over 5 times but foolish mistakes resulted in no points. Further more 17-14, (missed extra point, missed field-goal, and fumble on the 1 yard line into the endzone to give trinity a touchback) should have been score between X and Trinity at halftime. Also X was missing key starters on defense against Moeller, and that game was 14-10 in the 3rd. As far as Mattingly, he did a terrific job of moving the ball against the #2 in the nation's defense. Please back foolish claims with evidence.

The Colts were in the game with the Saints until the game started. Should have means nothing without execution and follow through, if that was the case then I am sure you beloved X should have won titles in 2003, 2005, 2007 and 2008. While we are on that subject I will go ahead and include 2010 for your sake. Then again Ryle probably would have, nay should have, knocked the Tigers out of the playoffs . Maybe we can get you guys some "should have been" state trophies to go along with those.

Now that's rich right there.

^ Wow... the only thing missing there is, "Yeah, I said it." Well done PepRock!

While we are on the subject of Mattingly he indeed did a good job of moving the ball against the Trinity defense in the first half. The second half was a different story since our coaches realized that Mattingly was the only cog that makes the X offense go, stop him and you stop X. Given what the Bomber defense is capable of I don't see a Louisville X win in this game unless they can manage to hold the Bombers under 10 points. If they do that then the Tigers have a chance.
