okie1
WE are getting soft...I am not an Obama fan, but as the leader of this Nation he should tell us the truth. We are getting soft, and we are losing our competitive edge. I believe those are facts!

SportsGuy41017
For those that do not care to watch the entire interview go to Part 2. Now that context has been applied what am I supposed to be upset about? I agree Clyde, I don't see him blaming anyone? We have gotten soft, we all need to work on that. BUT, it was some republicans who are blaming citizens http://www.google.com/hostednews/afp/article/ALeqM5gii21YLbZ7ZuQMrVMwmzSbYtUeJA?docId=CNG.15ad6c0ece7f48bbd7712ee105f9b734.1a1

cammando
Can someone explain in what areas, and how and when we grew soft as a nation ? Maybe I'm missing something here. What caused us to go "soft "?
PurplePride92
Can someone explain in what areas, and how and when we grew soft as a nation ? Maybe I'm missing something here. What caused us to go "soft "? I don't know what caused us to go soft. I think he is speaking on education, science and manufacturing. Did we used to be the worldwide leader in those three things? Now we are just one of the worldwide leaders in those areas? Is that correct? I keep hearing how China is pretty much the worldwide leader in a lot of things. Including financially. Maybe Obama is saying we need to get back to our status of worldwide leader. I don't know though. Just guessing. I took it ashim issuing a challenge to US citizens. Not blaming them. Randy Parker
I completely agree with the President that we are soft. You'll get no argument from me there. I would also add that we're stupid if we think that a third economic stimulus is somehow going to do something different than the previous two (Obama's & Bush's). Randy Parker
I think a sense of entitlement for one. While I don't think this is what the President was implying, I wholeheartedly agree.
