Cats' Pause 10th Region Preview

^ Well, there is one from Mason County.

But I do agree that the region probably won't be dominated by Royals and Cards this time around.

I missed Black on the list. Will him or Harris even be playing basketball this season?

Remember the name Adam Fatkin of GRC. He has had to play behind the loaded team GRC has had for the last 3 years. Look for him to be up for player of the year in the region, as it goes to a Senior.

The 10th region is "wide" open. Good points were made about seeding and or how the district draws come out as well as injuries, etc. and in a year like this, I think those things will determine this year's outcome more so than our traditional logic. I think there are the 10 teams Jonathon named who could win it and possibly a couple more. You could almost label them as 1a, 1b,1c, etc. It should be a very fun year for players, coaches, and fans alike. Can't wait till it gets started. It'll be interesting to look back on this list in early February and see what teams and kids are still there.

Watch out for Augusta Sophomore PG Brent Bach, he's poised for a breakout season.

I believe he scored 19 points in the region game last season when Frasure went down.

Who will Brossart be returning this year? 10th is wide open - this could be thier year.

Another very talented player who has not been mentioned is GRC wing Charlie Rogers. Like Fatkin, he has been behind some very good players and should now be ready to make a name for himself.

This is a great point. Rogers has a chance to make his own statement as he has been a contributable playing time since he was a sophomore. The potential for him to break out is enormous.

Brossart returns 4 of their top 5 scorers from last year. Not sure if it is their year, but I think they can hang with about anybody in the 10th this year. They have some size and have a great crop of big sophomores that could make some noise this year. It will be an interesting year in the 10th.

It will be a very interesting year. The Jan 6th (Campbell County) and Jan 13th (Pendelton County) before the All "A" classic will be a great indicator of Brossarts potential. Best of luck to them.

I have seen most of these Sophomores play. They won the 10th region Freshman tourney last year and can play. I beleive that they will be right in the thick of things come post season.

Glad you mentioned him. After already taking up for Bopper and Adam..... Coming from me I would sound like a homer....:D
