Spritzky has been lambasted by many of the Highlands faithful on here. It was a reference to the Dixie wants no part of Highlands thread. Mr. Schneider has gotten the same treatment over the past and the "Bishop Bob" junk was just another shot by you guys. My question was, why do you guys hate opposing coaches so much.

 

As for Coach Schneider and Eddie, again, how close are you to NewCath? All of your information is coming at least from second hand information, probably further down the line then that. Then you spout off here that it is about Mr. Schneider saving NewCath's integrity and community support by avoiding Highlands. So, unless you were on a conference call b/n the ADs of the schools, or b/n Mueller and either Schneider or Eviston, I don't see how you can sit here and say it is because Mr. Schneider says it, so it is. That is an insult to Mr. Schneider, but more it's an insult to Eviston. Have you ever met Eddie? This is his program. Make no mistake about that. What Mr. Schneider did was fantastic and legendary, but that time is at an end. When Eddie and his staff find it best to play Highlands, they'll play Highlands.

Maybe Coach Eviston should have said best overall player inwhich I agree with. Top 3 as QB, would be a top 3 running back and is the best defensive back in No. KY when he plays it.

Highlands would indeed benefit from playing NewCath. Playing against a well coached team that is fundamentally sound, and executes well designed game plans is always of benefit.

No argument, Brady is a great athlete. The quote was, 'best player, by far, in Northern Kentucky." Brady is not the best player in Northern Kentucky. He is not the best player at his position in Northern Kentucky. He is one of the top five players in Northern Kentucky.

And I do think Brady is the best player in NKY but it gets overlooked because of his size at his position when you have Towles and Pike in your class for receiving D-1 offers. Brady makes plays other players can't, he's a gamer. If he was over six feet tall we wouldn't be having this debate.

I haven't seen Hitchew but I think it would tough to see someone better than Towles. If Pike were on a better team, I think he would be right there with Towles, again that's another if and yet is my opinon.

You can't compare scores, if we did I would throw in the CovCath game and how much better NewCath looked against them then Highlands. It is about matchups. Last season NewCath had the size and skill on the line to run on Highlands. They run an offense different than any Highlands faced, which is very difficult to prepare for. Skill position wise they were better at running back behind at the receiver and equal at QB for what their offenses asked them to do. Towels has improved so much since last season that this year it is not a competition at QB and that is saying a lot considering how good Brady is. However last year it was. Anyway, matches dictate games, not comparing scores.

Seriously, HHS held JJ Jude to his lowest output of the year as well as Travis Elliott (first game and second game even though they lost the second game) and the Breds were going to run on them?? Ask Harlan County and Christian County about their running game results. While I think NCC was very good last year they were not going to line up and run the ball against HHS. Size yes, speed on the line no. See Christian County with all of their athletes. Towles was that good last year, and has improved throwing the ball this year. Again, no disrespect to NCC they were/are very good but when the last horn sounds HHS wins. Remember to this point in the season Towles has not really run the ball as part of the game plan and when he does it just opens up the offense and takes it to a whole new level.

 

I wish nothing but the best for the Breds the rest of this season and for seasons to come.

NCC was asked to play this year by Highlands and the answer was no. That's the reality of it. I will say that NCC athletics overall is exciting to watch and they're winners. They got a lot out of their athletes.

As for the Mexican, I am a big, big supporter of Coach Eviston and Coach Faust and believe it or not I play golf with a certain collar that has a tad bit of influence and say so as to who gets what on the hill.

You got me going, lol. It's going to be a long 8 years as my boys are brain washed Blue Birds. I guess that I feel as if I've failed as a father and must defend the alma mater. Anyway, I'd like to see the games. I know going in that it would be an uphill battle for NewCath, but I'd like to see the two teams play.
