Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe he will have started varsity for three years in football, baseball and basketball. What other athlete in NKY can say that?

 

Not really sure about any benefits of a Highlands vs NewCath game. I think it would be good to see but if Highlands won a number of these games wouldn't NCC possibly lose some kids to Highlands? I do think NCC would have given Highlands a game last year. They definitely had the size and talent to play with them.

Why wouldn't you say what he supposedly said? You make it out like he said this controversial thing, just come out and say it.

The thing that stands out for me in the quote is 'by far'. That right there is one big bite of the apple.

I remember when Highlands was a small School and now they are not. They would only take out of city kids if they had room, now they have the room and they have kids coming from all over to go there, I think they are close to 800 kids. Yes NCC is going the other way they are down to 390 kids people just don't have the money to send there kids to a private School.

 

dennis your all over the place on this thread. You imply that something Dale said is the reason these two teams do not play, yet refuse to post what was alleged to have been said. Instead you try to dispatch another to see if Dale will tell the truth. You really just questioned the integrity of Dale Mueller on here in the same thread that you say you like the guy? Say what you were told by someone who said they overheard something Dale said in a conversation with another person. Don't imply that if questioned that he would or might lie. Be a man and quit playing childish games.

 

There are a lot of reasons these two teams no longer play. Some of them have to do with Highlands former coach, most have to do with NCC's former coach. Unless you count Mueller's undefeated record and margin of victory (On field actions) he has had little effect on the series.

 

Also, you still have yet to answer my questions about your previous post. When was Highlands a small school? When did they grow into a big school? How did they grow into a big school and what role did allowing students from outside the district have in this?

 

My hope is that these two would play again. Two programs located less than five miles apart, kids grew up together, great coaching, and great kids.

The integrity and pride comment is asinine. We're talking about football. How do you affect the integrity and pride of your community based on a win or a loss? That is only affected by how your alumni affect their communities, both positively and negatively. Not playing Highlands this year, next year, in the future...that is not dictated by Mr. Schneider. That is the current staff's decision and their ultimate goal will be to be state champs, not champions of Ft. Thomas.

 

I don't get Highlands fans and their infinity w/ hating other programs coaches. Spritzky gets skinned alive every week by Highlands fans. Mr. Schneider is hated, and he hasn't coached in 2 seasons. Get over it. Everyone knows that you have the best program in NKY.

However that being said I would rather try tackle him than the 6' 5" 250 lb. QB's he is compaired to. I think that the by far part might have been a result of the emotion carryover from the end of the Holmes game, when one of his kids left in an ambulance with a head/neck injury the second last play of the game.

Hightchew has about 300 more yds rushing on twice as many carries Towles has about 700 yards more passing on about 20 more throws. Towles leads in rushing tds 8 to 7 and passing tds 18 to 11. Towles has 1 int Hightchew has 2.

 

Both have awsome stats and i hope will continue to do so.

Down 4-0, that is why the kids want to play the game. It is a good rivalry. Lately the boys and girls on the hill have had the better results in other sports and they want a chance to play in football. NCC has a very good program in all sports. I think some would like to see the game again, especially with what Eddie brings to the table. I like JPA response, schedule us when it makes sense. Most HHS faithful respect your program would like to see the kids play

I just take the quote "by far" as a coach just showing great support for his player, but I understand what you are saying. I would say Towles is the best football player and Brady is the best over all athlete in NKY, IMO.
