No incumbent president since Roosevelt whose approval rating in April of the election year was at 50% or better has lost the election. By the way, Congress' approval rating is currently at 11%!! :eek: That is the lowest in history. What was Truman's approval rating in April of 1948? I would think it had to be close to that catagory.

I understand what you are saying, but in my view there can be something done by someone somehow. if reseachers can hack into it, why cant someone in the Dem party or Rep party? anything is possible, we dont know 100% our vote is counted as correct, at least i have never seen my personal vote record.

True that all elections are 'state' level elections. There is no direct federal voting. October 5, 201114 yr President Obama's biggest opponent will be Karl Rove and his $200M+ war chest. Since he spent almost 3/4 of a Billion dollars in 2008 and now has the power of the presidency behind him, I don't think he's too worried about what the R's spend.

Rove and his PAC now have no limits placed on them. Add in Rove's reputation (see McCain, South Carolina) and President Obama's team is going to spend a lot of time refuting claims.

Obama's supporters such as Soros and the unions will be able to match Rove dollar for dollar and mud for mud. Shoot, they outspent McCain by $200 million in 2008. They're not worried.
