Best night of regular season baseball ever.

You might be right. I can't think of another regular season night like it.

Best night of regular season baseball ever.
Best week
It's been 20 years, and 12 now since they made the Series. All the playoff failures and then some lean years following the end of the run. If people are still with them, I'd have to say they're true fans now. I remember you said before that you didn't like the Braves being shoved down the throats of people in the area by Ted Turner. He doesn't even own the team now. I think you can let it go now.

Not necessarily "by Ted Turner," per se. The one that always galled me the most was the AM station in BG switching to being a Braves station in (I think) '92, just a year and change from carrying the Reds on the way to the '90 series championship.

My main beef, however, is with all those "Braves fans" who were Reds fans before '91. Kentucky is full of those miserable sots.

Homerun down the right field line to tie it and homerun down the left field line to win it.

Congratulations to all the Cardinals fans across America and to the 1200 Rays fans huddled in a small corner of Tropicana Field... it was well earned.

If you had told me on September 1 that the Rays would come from 9 back, even as well as they were playing, I would have said you were nuts.

I vote for both teams Braves and Red Sox

Me to

And now you couldn't get to sleep if you wanted to ...

The funny thing is I have never heard a Braves game on 1340 that wasn't a Reds game. By the time I was old enough to drive, they didn't broadcast any team exclusively (and rarely any games at all). The only station that broadcasts MLB games now is 1450 and they are a Reds station. 1340 carries the minor league team.

I'm going to one-up you here. It was one of the most exciting 4-hour stretches of sports I've ever witnessed. This was basically the playoffs and all four games had that feel to them. Unbelievable night.

The bad thing is that I have the USF/Pitt game tomorrow night. You know I'm not missing that. Oh well. I can sleep Saturday.

Well, maybe WBGN got wise and switched back after recognizing their problem. I don't think I ever listened to them after failing to find Marty and Joe on Opening Day that year. I was livid, as was several buddies on my dorm floor. And yes, I made some nasty phone calls from my dorm to them because of their switch.
