Anybody hear from AverageJoe? I'm worried about him.

 

After all the stuff I put with out of the Red Sox pre-2004 this is minor stuff. 2004 and 2007 has taken much of the angst away, it still sucks but I still like the roster with Buchholz back in the rotation next season. With Youkilis, Varitek, Buchholz, Salty, Dice-K out and Drew, Albers, Bard, Lackey and Crawford ineffective most of September it probably just saved them a butt-kicking in the playoffs.

Ugly by both, Yankee's tanking was smart though, I rather sent a young aggressive team to Texas well.

Where's SSC? I'd love to read yours and his discussion on the topic of playing your best team.

 

That has obviously been changed now by VOR. The entire time my argument has been you have to do what's best for your own team first. It's absurd to think a team would worry about another team over their own team. I said I'd quit watching baseball if the Reds were worried about the Braves feelings when they decided when Alonso should play. VOR had some lessons for me and told me to pay attention. I paid close attention and every team did what was best for their own club late. Shocking...
