Basketball season for 2011/2012 should provide another exciting year. What should we expect from Simon Kenton? Remember, please be constructive.

How far do you predict they will go? Do they have a tuff schedule?

Walton should pose probelms as they did for them last year. Simon and Grant will fight it out for the regional birth but SImon has one of the better players in the region with Chambers. Watched them at South this summer and they looked bad but that is summer ball. Gallatin beat them handily. They did have a good JV team last season.

SK will return 3 Seniors and around 10 Juniors they should be a very good team and make it to state!

Simon Kenton is SMALL, but skilled. They can shoot the lights out when on but to be successful over the year they will have to be scrappy, and play as a team.

The district should be a battle between SK and WV. I don't look for Grant to be a contender.

I look forward to this season, they should be capable of scoring some points. How did Ayers look this summer? I would love to see him work on a mid range jump shot, he could be a huge key this coming season.

Saw Nick a couple of times this year and he looks pretty good. I think the dark horse in this group is Riley Barnes he can really fill it up from deep.

But has he improved his defense? I know he is a great shooter but each time I have watched him he didnt play much defense and hung around the 3 point line all night. He can definitely throw em in from way out though.

Q, I'm assuming you are referring to Barnes and not Ayers because I've never seen Ayers hang on the three point line and hoist them.

Grant may surprise some people this year. They have some strong offensive threats.

Who are the strong offensive threats at Grant?

Ayers had a pretty good summer. He was able to put on a little weight and gained some much needed confidence.

Barnes has grown and worked hard on his foot speed this summer. I don't think it was ever that he didn't want to play D, with his speed, he just wasn't able to.
