I don't know why or what has happened, but I do know Coach Anderson is no longer the coach at Southwestern. He has been a very good friend and mentor and has done alot for HS football in the state of Kentucky. Thank you Coach Anderson for all you have done for football, coaches, and players in this state.

Bingo!

I can't think of a better time to "out" myself due to my great respect for Dale Anderson. For those that don't know who I am (and it's not exactly a well kept secret), my name is Jeff Schlosser and I served two terms on the KHSAA Board of Control ( I am no longer on the Board because there is a two term limit). After my first term on the Board, I was not going to seek reappointment (I won't go into why). When Dale found out I wasn't going to seek reappointment, he called me up and asked me to reconsider my decision. Because I respected Dale so much (and others whom called me), I did change my mind and was reappointed by the State Board of Education.

Dale did a whole lot for high school football in Ky. As President of the Ky Football Coaches Association, he was a very strong advocate for the game and the coaches and was extremely well respected by the KHSAA. A very honorable man. I wish Dale nothing but the best in his future plans.

Good luck Coach. Jeff

Any football coach in KY will tell you that Dale Anderson was an ambassador for the football coaches in this state. I have heard nothing but good things about him. I only met him once briefly, a meeting that he no doubt doesn't remember, but I do. Whatever his plans, I hope he is blessed to fulfill them.

I have had a lot of contact with Coach Anderson over the years and I echo what everyone else has to say about him. Dale Anderson has always been fantastic. I wish nothing but the best to him.

Thanks for the link. However, that doesn't tell us anything other than reading between the lines there is more to the story...

I respect Dale to the upmost. High School Football took a hit. Good Luck to Dale in his future plans.

Coach Anderson will be missed in the coaching world. He has done alot for the coaches in the state of KY.

What would be acceptable reasons for quitting midseason?

Any others?

Very selfless person. Did more for the improvement of OTHERS--often at his own expense--than he did for himself. I hate that this has happened, regardless of the reason, for the kids at SW Pulaski and for Ky HS football in general.

Legal possibly?

To this day, he remains as one of my all time favorite Trinity coaches. I wish him all the best!

I have a feeling this must have been ugly, I've been told his teaching job is already posted.
