Dale Anderson has resigned at Southwestern

Featured Replies

Wouldn't he have to be charged with something at least?

Could have been asked to resign instead of being fired. Don't have to be charged with anything criminal to be fired from coaching or teaching.

Very hard to fire a tenured teacher. So far it is allegations.....let's wait and see before we convict anybody. Last time I checked we were still in America. I hope it is all just a farce.

Support is one thing but you don't support the wrong they did. If what he is being accused of is true there is no supporting that. with that said he is inocent unless proven guilty he deserves the benefit of that. Just does not look good to resign if you are innocent. If you are innocent stand strong and fight the charges.
Many times people see it is to their benefit to just walk away, one being the money it would cost to defend yourself.

I have seen this happen too........A person is accused of wrong doing and it spreads like wild fire. Person is really innocent as it is found out later but there is so much pressure to resign as the damage to said person's reputation is done and they cannot possibly get the kids and/or parents respect during the process due to assumption of guilt. I have no clue what the investigation is about but I hope he comes out ok.

Agree. Was just responding to his post and trying to clear up that criminal charges didn't have to be brought for someone to resign.

With what the rumors are about of what he is accused of....money is not a problem when it comes to defending myself if I am falsely accused.

Meaning....if he is indeed innocent then, IMO, he should spare no cost to clear his name.

I am not sure of his financial situation, but that does come into play on many who just walk away.

I know...but trust me....with what they are accusing him of.....I'd find a way to get the money needed to clear my name. I would go into massive debt to clear my name if I was innocent.

The FBI has been involved from day one. Apparently the Pulaski County Sheriff's department does not have the capabilities, nor the intelligence, for computer forensics. DNA? No. This is not 'new' news.

I had not seen any published reports saying the FBI was involved in any way. Maybe you have inside info, but the rest of us don't... So I just thought I'd update those of us that are not that close to the situation.

Delete, didn't see a link on the FBI had already been posted.

Really??? Come on now, don't you want this done as accurately as possible....don't take shots at the PCSO for doing thier job. Either way this comes out they have a job to do and I would think that using the best resources availble would be a benefit to everyone involved.
