I just saw it for the first time. Pure comedy. What in the world was Ortiz thinking?

Dont even know why people watch boxing anymore, its just not the same as it used to be.

Actually, this fight and the aftermath was a lot like what it used to be. Boxing could use more stuff like this.

Mayweather's fiance tweeted a picture of her $100 Vegas book ticket she bought that had the correct round knock out. Even though she probably don't need the 2 grand.

From all I have gathered Mayweather, Ortiz, and the Ref were in the wrong. The ref was handling the situation completely wrong, Mayweather took a cheap shot, and Ortiz was not prepared. While not illegal, I would call what Floyd did as bush-league.

I think Mayweather was in the right. Ortiz headbutted him and wanted to play kiss up after. Mayweather wasn't having it, so he knocked him senseless. Stop trying to get a hug from Money, and get ready to fight.

The weird thing to me is that Ortiz didn't even sound upset about it. He sounded like a guy who was just happy to get a big payday by fighting Mayweather.

By all accounted, Mayweather was dominating the fight. However, Ortiz is a knockout guy, if I'm not mistaken, so his chance of winning depended on that anyway, IMO. The fact that he seems happy and content with the loss leads me to think he never believed he could win anyway, or at the least came to the realization after getting in the ring.

Ah...who cares anyway? It's boxing.

That's how I see it. Ortiz may have been looking for a hug but Mayweather touched gloves and was ready to get back at it, he did, Ortiz didn't.

And the head butt before?

Ortiz didn't want to be in that ring anyways.

The head butt indicated to me he was totally frustrated. Obviously Mayweather knew Ortiz couldn't beat him or he wouldn't have fought him. Ortiz figured it out after getting peppered for a few rounds.

He was penalized for it. Has nothing to do with my post.
There is no way that the fight between Mayweather and Ortiz wasn't preconceived. Any good fighter that got jabbed like Ortiz did would have been ready for the next punch and the so called knockout punch wasn't much of a hit.

Wasn't a jab. Ortiz got hit with the most two most powerful punches you can get hit by. Its gonna hurt.

Pacquiao is the only reason to bother watching boxing anymore, he is the only one worth the money but problem is Mayweather is the only one who can give him a true test and that punk doesnt want any part of Manny no matter what he tries to tell us.

I would like to see Pacquiao actually agree to testing before and after the fight to see what happens from there. Mayweather made sure to talk about how Cruz was a great opponent and agreed to test and it was a good clean fight and since he can be the face of the sport he said he wanted to clean boxing up. Well if your going to talk that you have to back it up. Would love to see Pac agree just to see if we actually ever have a chance of seeing this thing or see if Mayweather is going to dodge it for the last time.

This.

I agree, because I believe that Mayweather is scared of losing the goose egg to a one in the loss column.
