Very much so!

Took a lot longer than I expected, but it finally went where I knew it would.

Don't show the picture of HHS coming off the bus, their uniforms aren't dirty yet. Just kidding! I went to the game and thought that it was kind of odd that the baseball field which was about 100 yds away looked to be dry after walking on it.

No pictures here of HHS coming off the bus, just game action! Its gonna take me a lil while to get my pictures..... but they will come!

Until then.... I'm sure The Guru has some pics of the game.... wonder if hed mind showing them! He never posted pictures of the Bell Co. Highlands 2004 semifinal game on this site for some reason, and I would think he was there with camera in hand... maybe he would be so kind now?

Do the Harlan County kids who go to a school outside of their county, e.g. Bell County, have to pay Bell County taxes to attend that school? Or are they allowed to enroll with no financial consequence?

Anyone???

They do pay Bell County taxes. However, as of recently I dont know of any kids, or athletes, within Harlan Co. coming to Bell Co. Although LMB is right in saying that Bell Co. HS is a much closer drive for some Harlan Co. kids then Harlan Co. HS is and it has happened in the past.

It may of looked dry, but it wasn't. Sources tell me that the baseball field since that night has never looked better. I wonder what the heck thier secret is for such green grass. :D

High-grade fertilizer.

Hehehehehehe.... appreciate all the pokes guys.... buts its really not that funny anymore! Its actually starting to get a little classless! But what else was I to expect from the HHS fans! :irked:

Wish that photographer would hurry and send me the photos of the 04 game. If I'm not able to post them on this thread by the time I receive them via email, I will definantly post them in a new thread! That will settle the debate about the field in '04 at least!

I'll go out on a limb and say that 72 was referring to the 96 game but I'm not 100% sure.

No limb...that is exactly what I was talking about. The field we parked in was rock hard...they playing field was a sloppy mess.

But what else was I to expect from the HHS fans! :irked:

That is a classy statement...

Guy, I have to say that it is difficult for me to take complaints about a muddy football field seriously. From my years of going to school at Bell High and teaching at Pineville, I can tell you that watching them play on a muddy field was a weekly event during many football seasons. The field has a difficult time recovering from even one game played in the rain or after a recent rain, especially if the field you practice on is the same field that you play on.

That is a classy statement...

Just returning the class that you HHS fans show us Bell fans! :sssh: My poor ole, hillbilly, redneck daddy always said, "If you want to punch someone.... dont get upset when they decide to punch back!"

Don't let it bother you. It's come to be expected.

It's one thing to punch when you're in the right. Another when you're in the wrong. But I don't think we've ever had to do any punching -- simply state the truth.
