Ugly, but I'll take it.

I just don't think Raymond Sanders can cut it as an SEC RB. Color me though as a big Josh Clemons fan though...

A wins a win. You have to take small steps and small victories and today was big in both of those categories. Football is all about momentum, you have to get things going in the right direction and sometimes that takes a lot of time and a lot of hard work, some teams never get things going in the right direction. Today Kentucky came out and again was dominated up front by UCM's offensive front. They moved the ball at will and the UK secondary was making CMU look like they had an NFL level receiving group. BUT, they hung in there, kept fighting, kept them out of the endzone for the most part and forced them into field goals. They come out in the second half with a lot of adjustments and things start going a lot better. Once the offense got some things going and made some plays that kept the defensive side up and the two just fed off each other. To struggle so mightily in the first half, I was proud of the effort and result in the second half. If Kentucky can take the second half, build off of it all week in practice then come out smooth and repeat some of the same things against Louisville I think the season can still be a success. If they come out flat and stall around against Louisville then I think they lose all momentum they need heading into SEC play. Again football is all about momentum, so if Kentucky can just take it little by little and build off of the positives from the second half today, they may be alright. Minter proved to me today that he is def the guy for the job (can't see Kentucky landing too many more qualified candidates), his second half adjustments locked down this win for the Wildcats, not Clemons or Newtons touchdowns.

33% of the way to another bowl.

After watching both games, I don't believe UK can beat another SEC school unless it is Vandy. Tennessee's Bray has 300 yards passing in the third qtr so he will about 500 against UK. I just don't see the wins.

I am very fearful that the rest of the SEC will run us off the field each week. I just dont see it with this group. I know they lost some major playmakers but man we cant tackle and Wooten as a drop back passer is tough to watch.

I think the Louisville game will tell the tale for the Cats. It's a big game in regards to bragging rights, and recruiting. If the Cats lose to Louisville then they will struggle the rest of the way. If they can beat the Cards and actually play a good game all around, then I believe they may have a chance the rest of the way. Next week will determine it though.

It may have worked but Im not a big fan of my coach not kicking a FG to go up 10 with 5:30 minutes to go. Second half was something to build on. Keep working Cats!

I was thinking the same thing. They might get Ole Miss at home & might get Vandy.

I think it's a game that will tell the tale for the Cats because if UK loses they are worse then I thought.

Like woodsrider, I think it will say a lot more if they lose than if they win. Louisville, like UK in my opinion, is not good at all.

Right now, Vanderbilt is the only SEC game I'd give UK a decent chance of winning.

I think if UK wins then it shows more of a confidence boost then actual talent, BUT I think it'll help them down the road depending on how they win the game. If they blow them out or handle it pretty well then it'll be aboost, if it's like the current trend of games then win or lose they will struggle.

Thank goodness the officials didn't give CM a favorable spot, making them go for it in their own territory on 4th down. 'Cats held and scored on the next play. That was the game changer.

Gino Guidugli former Highlands and UC star is the wide recievers coach for CMU..
