Who wins this game and why?

Brady Hitchew cant win this game by himself. NCC will need more than just Hightchew to step up in this one. Dixie will have everyone back but Pike at QB and Moore at corner. Cohorn ran the offense really well against McNick, and will have Justice and Bruns back in the backfield as well. Does it hurt some what by not having Pike at Qb? Of course, because now they lose their top reciever by moving Cohorb to QB, and you lose the dual threat of Pike at QB. Dixie does have other recievers that are pretty good, as shown in the scrimmage last night. And Dixie will have Justice back at linebacker and Bruns at safety. Both teams are going to run the ball alot, but this game might come down to the Qb's. Cohorn ran the ball extremely well last night when he pulled it down, he's tough to bring down. And we all know what Hightchew can do when he runs the ball. This will be a good game to watch, I give Dixie the edge with the depth in the running game.

It will be a close contest with Pike on the sidelines serving his 1 game suspension. Where will Coohorn end up playing in college? Any chance he follows Pike to Auburn, or any other D1 school for that matter.

The info I'm getting is that he's been in contact with many D1 schools and D2 and 3 schools. From what I'm hearing from coaches and family Purdue, Morehead, Murray St., EKU, and many of the Mac schools. I heard him and Handlon were at Hanover not too long ago. I hear his GPA is pretty high so if that's the case the door could be pretty open for him.

Serving a 1 game suspension from last year's playoff game against Highlands.

NewCath breaks in a new O-Line and 8 new offensive starters. I look for them to start slow, but end this season on a high note. Last year, Dixie inexplicably stopped giving Bruns the ball and NewCath ground the Dixie defense into the field. I will take Dixie w/ Bruns having a big game. I will, however, say that no team will improve more than NewCath in NKY this season (barring injuries). They may end this regular season 6-4, but they will be a major player for the state title again.

Pike may be out however I hear the back up for him is excellent. JD

As for a prediction, with or without Pike, I like Dixie. Cohorn actually has a very good ARM so the passing game won't be affected much.

 

I'd look for Dixie to win a close one. Would be surprised if either tram scored more than 28.

Cohorn is going to be off the charts this year. I look forward to seeing him at QB, but even more so when Pike is back & getting him the ball w room to run. This should be an excellent early season contest as both sides are looking to make an early statement.
