Probably nothing. But that would open up a whole new can of worms. Then there would be problems with the IRS, as well as the KHSAA, if caught.

The "if caught" part is the real trick. I can't imagine how anyone could find proof for the KHSAA. Records related to tuition payments are not released.

Our education programs have been the focus of the majority of our growth and improvement throughout our existence. Before we got our new facilities we upgraded our classrooms and added more faculty(who teach mind you). The special education programs that we have came into existence within the last 10 years.

 

National priorities are nowhere near as important as our commitment to the Catholic community in Louisville.

 

Please stop acting as though athletics are an afterthought, because that is what you imply here. We all know better.

Let's break a few things down. Most other things have been discounted, but here's a few things I see about this as the top all-boys private school advantages, as a neutral observer:

 

No Title IX concerns

Don't have to accept poor people (i.e., potential discipline problems)

Poorly-defined "borders"

A well-funded and willing alumni donor base (not realistic at the public school level)

Less bureaucratic obstacles to success (a bigger factor than you private school supporters care to admit)

As far as I know there are only 3 schools in KY with football teams that do not have to worry about Title IX: T, X, CCH. The other 90% of the privates do have to comply.

The KHSAA bylaws allow for them to require a financial disclosure if they feel it is warranted.

 

So if an unexpected deposit shows up in the checkbook that could be a problem.

So, to sum it up, all advantages are on the Private side, specifically in this case, Trinity.
