What advantages does Trinity have over Highlands other than...

I think special ed/reduced lunch info might be on the "report card" that the schools send out each year.

Thanks ya'all for the great info , where is your favorite place to eat in the Trinity area ?

Drakes is just to the west of campus, is fairly new & very good, but likely will be very crowded. Bluegrass Brewing Company next door to Drakes is pretty solid as well. Brendan Osheas, next to BBC is also a great atmosphere, decent bar food...Those are all close enough to be able to park once & do everything on foot, including game, before you have to leave...Safe travels & good luck...

Wow , your saying people with little money will have disipline problems ? Please explain why .

Does that also mean that wealthy kids won't have disipline problems ?

Where are you getting your basis for this determination ?

All I did was summarize the key points that have emerged during this thread.

And good, bad or indifferent, the economically-challenged schools have more discipline problems than suburban public and private schools. More often than not, it's because of the propensity of single-parent households and a lack of interest in education and a lack of discipline shown by parents that fosters such an environment.

Obviously, there are some exceptions. But don't sit there and act like this is some revelation.

Just wondering where your coming from , my friend .

I would like to know the percentage of Highlands, Trinity and St X players who come from college educated 2 parent homes.

I would like to know the percentage of Special needs and/or free and reduced lunch kids that go to these schools.

First question: Not sure. My kids: Single parent family, not college educated. Most of my daugther and sons friends, parents not college educated, some single-parent, some two-parent, either never remarried, or remarried. I'd say there are all kinds, at least from my experience. I think there are more single-parent and less are college educated than most would assume.

Second question: I really think that the free/reduced lunch question is completely separate from Special Needs. There's no way to tell because no one gets free or reduced lunch @ Trinity. So, the family's have to be able to pay (on a 12 month plan) 963/month in tuition, fees for books, school supplies and lunch. Of course, the kids could bring their own lunch. I don't know what the financial criteria is for getting free or reduced lunch, so I would have no idea at all how to figure that out.

For Special Needs, that would need to be defined more clearly. Physical disabilities? How severe? Learning Differences? Discipline cases? What exactly are you looking for? Trinity's campus is accessible. There are programs for kids with learning differences that are nationally recognized and modled. Discipline cases? There are actually kids at Trinity there because the public school environment wasn't working that are successful. Conversely, there are those that leave or asked to leave for disciplinary reasons. I'd need more detail to try and answer your question.
