Congrats to LexCath!!!!!! Great win!

Congrats to BG on a great season!!

Congratulations Lexington Catholic! :thumb:

The biggest call of the year was made by Coach Sphire mid-way through the 3rd qtr of the CCH game. Down by 10 points, mo on CCH side, 4th and 10 or so from near midfield and he goes for it. Not only does he get a first but they score on the play.

Their season was most likely over if they punted.

Yep.

Congrats to LexCath.

Congratulaltions Knights.

That is so, so true and it's also so easy to forget at a time like this. Your observation underscores just how tough it is to win the state.

Congratulations to LexCath on a superb season and post-season. A sincere Thank You for the work that you do and the enjoyment that you've brought to us. Best of everything in the future to the seniors.

Congratulations to all of the other teams LexCath saw over the last few weeks ... Grant Co., CovCath, Highlands, Rockcastle Co., and Bowling Green ... we hope to be able to see you again in the future.

Especially, most sincere congratulations to Coach Bob Sphire who has been the constant force at LexCath over the last 15 years. Sincere thanks for all you've done for our kids.

Congrats to both teams on getting to the Pizza Box. The football Gods seemed to be on LexCath's sidelines today. It wasn't one of our better offensive showings but the defense played their best game since Highlands. I was surprised that BG only seemed to rush three guys most of the time. I thought LexCath passed too much but you can't argue with the result. BG seemed to run a similar offense as Highlands so thanks H for the tuneup. Thanks coach Sphire for another great season! Special thanks to Justin Burke for rewriting the LexCath record books and Go Wolfpack!! See everyone on the basketball board.

Congrats Lex Cath Great Win!!!!!!!!!!!

CONGRATS to the KNIGHTS on a State Title!!

Congratulations to the Lex Cath Knights... & Justin Burke!! We're friends with your family from Paintsville and we know how thrilled and proud they are of your accomplishment! :thumb:

Best chance to prevent the sweep is Mayfield and I think they will do it, I never thought I would say this but............GO CARDS! :irked:

Russell prevented it pretty convincingly. I predict NCC to win by a pretty good margin.

Congrats to Lexington Catholic on their first State Championship.

Certainly a GOOD KNIGHT for all Lex Cath fans!!! CONGRATS!!!!!

It was Knight Time this morning in Louisville!! Way to go Lexington Catholic. Congrats to Patrick Schwendeman, MVP - The high powered Knight offense was there, but the higher power today was the defense. What a tremendous team effort.

Could this Catholic sweep solidify the case for the seperate playoff for private schools?

Could this Catholic sweep solidify the case for the seperate playoff for private schools?

Catholics did not sweep. You can thank Russell for breaking the sweep up.
