Congrats to LexCath on a state championship...I just wonder why with a 42-7 lead in the middle of the third would you still be passing. Was it to pad Burke's stats? If that was the case, those 2 int's didn't help. The LexCath D had Bowling Green's number, a team that was taken out of their element early because of LexCath's quick scoring. Hats off to both teams, and good luck this off-season preparing for a return visit.

I was actually pulling for the Purples :irked:

BUT...

Congrats Lex Cath!

Congrats LC and thanks to the seniors for the past four years, we have enjoyed watching you come together as a team and reach your ultimate goal-- STATE.

You guys are the best.

This is one of the most tight nit group of seniors that has ever come through Catholic. They are all best friends on and off the field. It was a sad day to see them go Saturday, but they went out in the right way.

Great Year Seniors!!

Senior leadership and heart really played a huge roll with this team's success. The defense was really energized by guys like Davis Page, Patrick Schwendman, Will Osborne, Zach Jeter and others really getting after it the past few weeks. Having your star player on O be a senior also helps leadership.

Im still stunned the Knight's D was so good early saturday, definately the key to such a huge win.

I think what fooled me most about this game , was that after attending the game between Rock and Lex cath I just assumed that Bowling Green would be able to run the ball pretty much up and down the field. Obviously either Bowling Greens running attack was much over-rated or Rocks was much under-rated. Every time Rock got the ball I felt like they had potential to maybe score with running game but had little chance because they had no answer for Catholics wide open offensive attack. With BG it was like they had little chance of scoring or containing Lex Caths offense. I has heard BG had a awesome running game and left very confused!!!

Fumbles and LexCath's three-touchdown run at the end of the half took the bite out of the Purples' ground game.

Congrats to Lexington Catholic and Burke. Didn't think the margin was going to be that wide.
