I imagine if Cov Cath had made it to state, they would not have been such poor sports. Could be sour grapes.

 

I can't see how that makes much sense seeing as it must have been a small group of students who most likely weren't football players because a lot of them were lifting at the time. Like I said before most of the people I've talked to including myself want New Cath to win. Why wouldn't we want a team we beat by 42 to win state that just looks better for us, so sour grapes really doesn't make sense.

Reasons the fine young men might have been chanting "Go Mayfield":

 

1) Want NewCath loss to prevent private school sweep, thus stopping approval of separate divisions.

2) Some of the CovCath students (who like students at X, T, and LexCath, attend school from multiple counties) are actually from Graves County.

3) Were using reverse psychology to fire Breds up.

4) Mistakenly thought Mayfield was the name of the Breds top running back.

5) Wanted to get the goat of FabFour and other NewCath backers.

Why was there a big blue H on the front of the helmet a former member of NewCath was holding on the front page of the Enquier sports section today. What's that all about? Was that a shot or what?

 

I'm guessing that it might be from the East/West All-Star game. Players wear helmets from their school and then players share their schools decals with their All-Star teammates and decorate each others helmets.
