I thought it said the same thing that CF thought but when reading it again I see that Hoosierbirdfan is only calling the Ohio teams on Trinity's schedule overrated and not Ohio High School football. I am just guessing but it seems that may be where the mistake was made and then CF went on the defense.

Ohio football is not overrated. I have no problem with acknowledging such. You just seem to have a problem acknowledging that there are some Ky schools that can compete with the Ohio schools.

 

The now deleted "chumps" was uncalled for and unnecessary, unless it was just to stir the pot. Trolls do that stuff; not adults attempting to discuss high school athletics in a mature fashion.

No shot. Nothing against Trinity, but no team from KY is going to be awarded a National Title by any respected poll service. They would have to start the year in the National Top 5 for that to happen. Definitely not this year, but possibly in 2012.

I wouldn't bank on that. They play the big boys from the GCL and Brentwood Academy. Those schools carry a lot of weight.

Which posts are in question? I didn't see any posts out of line. I see and understand where both sides are coming from. This is a good debate as long as people don't take it personal. I don't see it as CF belittling Ky football. I see a logical thought process from someone who appears to be a Colerain fan. I also see Ky football making strides with Trinity and Highlands leading the way and the opportunity for Trinity to make some national noise this year and next. I also hear Highlands may be fielding even stronger teams in the near future and it looks like Ky football may be here to stay in national prominence for quite sometime. As a Ky resident I hope to see a trend of Highlands and Trinity defeating Ohio teams and upping the Ky High School football pedigree.

 

I do thoroughly enjoy the back and forth banter.

Almost no posts from ANY Trinity poster. 3 posts that I know of (including this one), and PepRock is the only one of us to actually add anything of consequence to the discussion. :lol: And for what it's worth, PepRock...we're not assured of the last 5 games yet, so don't go counting your chickens before they're hatched.

And read closely here: I agree and have agreed with CF that Ohio football is all in all much better than Ky football and is not overrated.
