Enrollment is figured by the OHSAA as grades 9-11. It is recalculated every two years for classification purposes.

 

Fairfield is the 2nd largest school in the entire state, behind Mason.

 

Fairfield's boys and girls combined enrollment, as released by the OHSAA for grades 9-11 ONLY = 2,366. I would say that the girl you were talking to was right on with her comment regarding 720 kids in her class.

PS: Colerain is 17th in the state in enrollment, grades 9-11 = 1,619. Meaning Fairfield has roughly 1,000 more kids than Colerain.

PSS: That 1,000 kids difference, roughly, is equivalent to CovCath AND Notre Dame COMBINED...to put it in perspective.

Which posts are in question? I didn't see any posts out of line. I see and understand where both sides are coming from. This is a good debate as long as people don't take it personal. I don't see it as CF belittling Ky football. I see a logical thought process from someone who appears to be a Colerain fan. I also see Ky football making strides with Trinity and Highlands leading the way and the opportunity for Trinity to make some national noise this year and next. I also hear Highlands may be fielding even stronger teams in the near future and it looks like Ky football may be here to stay in national prominence for quite sometime. As a Ky resident I hope to see a trend of Highlands and Trinity defeating Ohio teams and upping the Ky High School football pedigree.

Ya doesn't Ohio's playoff system use a somewhat weighted system where the wins are given a value based off of out of state opponents strength and what not? Wouldn't make much sense to just try very hard to win a game...

St. X isn't your team but you brag enough about them . I wasn't joking when I asked about the crow . I have a whole freezer full of crow for this season when my team plays Elder at the pit . My friends in Lou. are storing some crow in their freezer for when Trinity runs the table on the over rated Ohio teams on their schedule !
