D1 looks. Really? I think he is good; but, what D1 schools?

I said Beechwood will be a good team they have some good players but they will lose their first game though.

I look for Beechwood to be good at first and get better as the season moves on. The main question is how good will they get and how will Mayfield develope over it's season. As we all know both of these schools only measure their season's success by state titles.

I know it's early, but can someone close to the BW program give us some insight to potential starters? Line, skill positions, LB'ers, etc........

BW must get it done this year, IMO, because they will lose all but a couple of "key" players. They have the whole package and the QB will without a doubt hit the ground running and is as poised as they come. He would have been a 1-2yr starter at "many" other schools, but has remained patient to get his shot to lead this team. Several D1 looks without taking a meaningful HS snap speaks volumes.

 

Roman, I think Crunch was on the verge, I had no idea they had such a backup lst year and I am thankful that the kid and the coaches held him out against us. That title last year meant alot to Mayfield and had they not remained patient and brought out a D-1 qb I imagine we would have had a long and sad trip back west. I certainly feel that Beechwood is now the overwhelming favorite.

I am not trying to be flip here but just pull out last year's program and you will pretty much see the starting lineup for this year. The QB will change. There will be a new starting center and a new starting OT but the replacements are varsity experienced. I don't think there will be any "rookies" starting on this team.

Not offended at all, I just stated I am glad you all seem to have held back last year :lol:

 

I do feel at this time Bw is the team to beat but I like our chances. Again, I think you all will be the favorite and you all are certainly due. I like what you all return and that is the reason I think you all are the favorite. If we do get the chance to play I am also thankful you all will have to come here to play, should that game happen and we were to take the "L" atleast I won't have to suffer through a drive that should be criminal to make anyone have to drive. I petitioned the KHSAA to require Bw to have to relocate further west, I am hopeful they honor my request. :laugh:
