Sorry if there is already a thread on this. My search did not find it. All I can say is 'Wow'

My intial reaction was this was crazy. But, if they want it I don't have a problem with it. What a school.

14,000 capacity now and it's "tight."

600 band members is crazy!

Communities have priorities. They had the chance to vote on it . If they voted yes then build the thing.

I would be willing to bet that this school also has the best of everything else as well. Technology, Teachers, Coaches and Administration. This is also a great demonstration of what can become when a community (and a large one) gives their children a competitive advantage all around. School, Sport and Life. I am sure parents line up to try and send their kids to this school for whatever reason. Success. It brings out the best in everything.......

5000 students. My gosh. I bet there pretty good.

With being in Texas, I don't see it as much to worry about; if in most other states, very likely a different story.

NewCath needs a smaller version of that "up on the Hill". LOL

WOW!!!!

Way over the top in my opinion, however, this is america, it was voted on so they should do it. I think it speaks more to the communities priorities or lack thereof. I just don't know how any community can vote "yes" on a 60 million dollar high school stadium in these days and times. Pretty pathetic if you ask me. I can think of a an assortment of other things 60 million could go to.

The community is investing 60 million dollars into their young people (not to mention that the venue will probably host an assortment of money raising events...which will probably pay for itself in the short term). If you are willing to invest that much into your youth, I applaud you...you do have your priorities correct in my opinion!!

Well from whats on the video there are several other portions of this stadium that will benefit wrestling, golf, fine arts etc.. I think its great!

Very Forward thinking on their behalf. Maybe thats why they can do something like this, they look past the stumbling blocks. Very well said!

I am waiting for someone to build something similar to what Idaho has with their indoor stadium. I think it's a pretty cool venue for that size college.

People with vision.

Investing in the future.

Setting the standard high.

All of these are very rare in this society. I applaud the Allen ISD.

Now if Cincinnati, along with Ohio will do the same (for those in the NKY area).
