Congratulations to Zeke! Not surprised at all by the choice. Best wishes on a great college career.

Give the kid credit. He's not running from competition. AU has a stud frosh qb coming in this fall.

Congrats to the Pikes.

So will he stay at the QB position long if he doesn't get the nod?

Btw congrats Zeke and best of luck.

Wow congrats Zeke! I think I'm more impressed on how he handled the press conference than the football choice. Zeke was composed, professional, articulated very well and charismatic in his speech and going off the cuff to answer questions. Broadcasting should be in his future. Dixie should be proud to have him representing their school and his parents should be very proud.

Congrats to the Pikes.

So Pike comes in and redshirts a year. Now the stud is two classes above him. No problem. And if you get there and outperform the stud even better. I agree with you, I think Pike is going where he wants to go regardless of who he may be competing against.

Isn't Pike the 3rd best QB in his class according to Scout? If so, I see no reason why he'd be scared of anyone else coming in. The QB coming in this year (4th in his class according to Scout) looks to be a dual threat QB that could potentially end up playing a different position. Even if he doesn't, like VOR said before, he could easily red shirt for a year and still have plenty of opportunity to have a shot at QB. That being said, I'm not so sure if he'll even still be playing QB by the time that opportunity comes up.

I can not believe UK or Ul let a stud QB like this in KY get away. I have no faith in Joker getting talent from KY. Maybe if UK had an actual coach they could keep in state kids like Dawson and Pike.

Congrats to Pike

I don't think it had anything to do with Joker letting them get away. They didn't want to play for UK..

Congrats to Zeke and the Pike family! I will now have to cheer for Auburn too!

Ok if Towles is going to UK why would Pike want to........Or vice versa........................................................................Not saying Towles or Pike will make the better college QB but it makes no sense from a playing time stand point for the two of them to go to the same school.

Good luck to both in college. If we're fortunate, maybe we'll get to see them play each other on Saturday. What a great day for N.Ky football that would be.

Kiehl Frazier (4 star incoming freshmen to AU) 6'3 runs 4.57

Now why would Pike go to AU and have to compete vs this guy.

Why not come to Uk and beat out Towles to become the UK QB, I am guessing it isnt because he is scared of competiton, just not wanting to play for UK is my guess. That is why we need a coach that kids in KY want to come play for, a coach who doesnt lose out on the best in state recruits and have to go to other states to get leftovers.

Zeke Pike said in his press conference that he always wanted to go away to school. And, I agree with the earlier post that he was very, very composed and polite and polished at his press conference. He is a very good interview and very good public speaker. It was an impressive performance at Dixie.

Why do we assume "in-state recruits" want to play for UK? I see a lot of kids wearing other schools' gear. It's pure parochialism to think they SHOULD go to State U.
