I know the Hoya Elite 16U won their tournament and did not lose a game. They practice in Louisville twice a week. They have kids from L-ville,Bullitt County, Trinity,Butler,Spencer County,Henry County and Fulton Ky. They looked real strong this weekend and beat the Ville by 16.

They have a very nice team loaded with top talent. The NKY Select 15's probably gave them their best game in a 90-86 contest.

Tyler Bray had a monster dunk leaving a step in front of the free throw line dunking it in traffic! !

 

Call me cynical(everyone does) but I'm going to need to see film of this since a)it's hard to do by NBA guys in the Slam Dunk contest and B)it's in traffic which means he didn't get a running start from the other end of the court.

I do not have film of this dunk. When I said a step in front of the free throw line I meant his step and he has a very long stride. He also does not need a running start from the other end if the court. There were kids in the lane. He took about 3 steps and dunked it between 2 defenders, which is what I meant by in traffic. This kid has unbelievable hops and won a dunk contest last summer by jumping over his 6'6 teammate. He also just cleared 6'8 in the high jump. Few people have seen him play because he did not play his sophomore year and was hurt most of his junior year.

I am hoping to make time so I can get up to Dayton for Crons, just waiting for the schedule to come out. Which tourney are the Bulldogs in?

I just want to say that I am extremely pleased with the teams that have entered so far at Midwesthoops in Florence! I do not know much about the younger age groups, but the 16 and 17's have been good! Team Kentucky has already switched to there on Memorial Day weekend instead of the tourney at Kings Island, which is too big and all over the city and even close to Dayton Ohio. May even switch from the Lakota tourney next week too.
