I said earlier this season that Lamb should be in the running for 6th man of the year...glad to see he and the rest of the Cats earning some individual recognition.

Very nice to see some of our players get the recognition they deserve.

Quick question but does anyone know when the All-SEC teams and awards will be announced?

They typically announce it at the pre-tournament stuff the middle of this week.

Hard to argue with that, most of the list looks pretty good to me. Only thing I would really try to argue would be COY and obviously that could go a lot of different ways. Not saying Brey isn't deserving either, just saying there are some others out there who come to mind as well, Lavin, Pitino, Sean Miller, etc.

It is great to see Nolan Smith get POY and the writer is correct. With KI on the court Smitty isn't the best player on the team. What Nolan did this season is nothing short of remarkable. Glad to see he didn't lose to Jimmer's scoring average.

Faried just being a honorable mention is a travesty. Drop Jones.

I think if Jones played against the same competition that Faried did all season his numbers would have been better than Faried's. JMO.

The Big East is devoid of star power this year. A lot of good players, but few great players. This is one reason I don't think the Big East will be dominant in the NCAAs this year.

Points yes, rebounds not a chance.

I would also like to point out that Jordan Hamilton of Texas is not on any of the teams. How did this happen?

I'd take Faried every day of the week and twice on Sunday. If Jones had half the will of Faried he'd be a first team AA.

Faried vs.:

Ohio State - 15pts, 12 rbs, 5 stl and 2 blks

Florida - 20pts, 18rb, 2st, 2blk

I'd say he held his own against top-notch competition.

I agree completely.:thumb:

Big diffrence in doing it 2 times a year and on a night in night out basis. He gets rebounds yes, but he still has put up massive numbers playing below average teams. I do not consider the best player on the floor in a Morehead vs EKU game to be great. He is a good player in a bad confrence IMO, but he is good no dobut I just do not see him above Jones in any shape way form or fashion. The schedule he plays would keep him off any of my ballots.
