Getting Collins to switch from Alabama to Kentucky was big, losing Davis and Dawson hurt but Kentucky has a great looking class coming in and hopefully we'll see some results.

 

I'm always excited for Kentucky football even when I know we're mediocre but I think this class could be something special, hopefully Joker and crew can develop the talent to reach it's potential and Kentucky can take the next step in competing for the SEC East title.

We do get Patterson this year he will help at LB.

I think it is a very solid class that with guys at all positions.

I just wish UK had concentrated more recruiting time in Florida. They got those 2 kids from Pensacola Catholic, and that's it. Nothing from Texas either.

That really is kinda sad that thier best class in 20 years is still ranked 11th out of 12 in the conference.

I think it also shows how kids want to play in the SEC and UK is getting some of the leftovers, whereas before they would have gone elsewhere.

I was watching the days events wrap up on ESPN U last night. They were scrolling the top 8 or so recruits from each team. Dawson wasn't even on the USC list. He would have been #1 UK.

ESPN had their class rankings at one point yesterday, and UK was the #1 team "on the fringe" of their top 25 rankings...So at that point, they had UK's class #26 in the nation....#10 in the SEC. Insane.

Do you think Patterson will play LB at UK? I project him to me a DE. Nice ballplayer, but he seemed to lack the lateral quickness needed to play LB in the SEC. Perhaps that can be improved with coaching and training, but if not, I see him as being a heck of a pass rushing DE.

After looking close at it, not too bad. Actually good for UK, some guys came here that turned down big schools (ALA) That is a start.

They may be adding Scott County K Jay Willmott as a walk-on.

At one time the University Of Louisville had over twenty kids from Alabama.
