Valentine's Day suggestions

Featured Replies

This comment seems odd to me. You only want to do something Small and it is the thought that counts??? Must not like her too much ?

It's an interesting situation and I'm trying to play it pretty slow. Want to do just enough so she feels special...but not to much just yet lol.

Concert tickets for an upcoming show when you are back on your feet.

Made that move once...worked out very nicely!

If you're looking to drop some money, you can't go wrong with a Day Spa package.

I don't know that I've ever looked to drop money.

I'd say do a couples massage. That way you can get the benefits of it too.

I've never met a girl who didn't love Tiffanys jewelry or a Coach purse. It should cost you $150 or less.

I never get my wife flowers. We came to the agreement while we were dating that flowers were a dumb gift. She would much rather have a new pair of shoes or a purse rather than something that was going to sit on the table and slowly die.

^ I don't know about you but I'm not spending $150 on anyone for Valentines day.

Tell her you are not doing anything because it's the second most ridiculous "holiday" on the calendar, next to Sweetest Day.

If you can't show me how you feel the other 364 days of the year then I don't want anything to do with you, and vice-versa.

 You are right. Sometimes, however, you have to ask yourself "Do I want to be right, or do I want to be happy?"

:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh: Now that is funny and true!

First let me preface this post by stating how dumb I feel for asking this.

Now, here's the thing. I will have been dating my girlfriend for just a shade under 4 months when V-Day occurs (the 18th is our four month) and I'm not a real romantic person. I like to take her out to nice dinners and what not but don't have a clue when it comes to gifts. To make matters worse I'll be having surgery on the 11th and the doctor says I'll be feeling rough for about a week so I won't be able to take her out or anything like that.

Does anyone have any gift suggestions other than the simple box of chocolates and flowers? I feel bad that I'll be laid up in bed and can't take her out so while without breaking the bank or going overboard, I'd like to be able to make up for that as well.

Could you cook something? That always works, provided your food is edible. Edible arrangements would be nice as well. Some flowers and you should be good to go.

I have a new g/f of a month, who hates flowers and doesn't like mushy.... I have no clue what to do assuming were still together lol.

Looks like you're going to have to cook or go to a nice restaraunt.

Best Valentine's I've ever had was a simply cooking dinner for the young lady.

I've kinda been hanging out with a new girl lately and debating on doing something small for her...probably will do something small. The thought that counts.

Cook her something and call it a day :thumb:.

NKU this isn't a bad suggestion either IMO.

Always leave 'em wanting more, brother :thumb:.

^ Not really just don't think these made up holidays are worth it. :D Plus I just gave her a big rock she is good on expensive presents for a while.

I'm going with the whole cooking dinner and watching some stupid movie route. May throw in a box of chocolates, but we've only been together for about 3 months, and I just dropped quite a bit on concert tickets for her birthday at the beginning of March, so she'll have to just deal with it. :D
