February 7, 201115 yr I don't think the little lady I've been hanging out with is expecting anything, so surprise delivery to her work would probably get me some brownie points lol. Cliche. I like your first idea of cooking for her (as long as you have some skill in that area.)
February 7, 201115 yr Cliche. I like your first idea of cooking for her (as long as you have some skill in that area.) It still works!
February 7, 201115 yr It still works! Remember than when you're early in a relationship it's not just the girl's reaction but , more importantly, the reaction of her friends. Cliched actions get a "oh that's nice." The unusual (ie cooking dinner) gets the much desired "awwww, that's so sweet." Bingo!

February 10, 201115 yr Author Still am not sure what to do since I'll be laid up in bed but I decided to go ahead and order the photo cube I mentioned earlier so that way I at least have something. The origami flowers that Colonels_Wear_Blue posted about might be an idea......except I always stunk at origami as a kid.
February 14, 201115 yr Okay a great weekend for me and five of my friends. We got together at 9:30 a.m. Saturday for breakfast at Ft Wright Family restauarant then went to Remke's to shop. Our wives all met at noon went to lunch and shopping for the day. We then met at one of my friend's house to cook for our wive's. We had the following for snacks and dinner: chocolate covered strawberries, strip steak, twice baked potatoe, amaretto carrot's, steamed asparagus with holydais sauce (sp), grilled shrimp and for desert a chocolate moouse (sp). We had drink's and wine along with after dinner played game's with the wive's. A great night for all and this will go along way for us guy's and it only cost us about $60.00 per couple. Not including what the wive's spent. I am good to go for the upcoming high school football season. Good luck to everyone else. DJ
February 14, 201115 yr My wife told me this morning she doesn't want anything for Valentines Day. She said all she wants is for me to pick up the paint samples and a pizza...I knew I married the perfect one.
February 14, 201115 yr My wife told me this morning she doesn't want anything for Valentines Day. She said all she wants is for me to pick up the paint samples and a pizza...I knew I married the perfect one. Haven't you learned this by now? It's clearly a test.
February 14, 201115 yr Tell her you are not doing anything because it's the second most ridiculous "holiday" on the calendar, next to Sweetest Day. If you can't show me how you feel the other 364 days of the year then I don't want anything to do with you, and vice-versa. Valentines Day was obviously created by a woman who had a sweet tooth and owned a flower shop".
February 14, 201115 yr Haven't you learned this by now? It's clearly a test. Yep, whenever they say that it doesn't matter or "Oh nothing, it' silly and we know we love each other" then that means that you better come up with something. This year I broke the usual flowers, candy and/or taking he out to eat and got her a amethyst heart necklace that she had been wanting.
February 14, 201115 yr Instead of going out over the weekend we stayed in and ordered some Pizza. I am just going to get some flowers and a card today on the way home.
